Rambus Gains on Wells Fargo CommentsFundamental Analysis
Wells Fargo cast a favorable light on Rambus (NASDAQ: NASDAQ:RMBS ), following encouraging developments from Micron Technology (NASDAQ: NASDAQ:MU ). As a result, Rambus shares surged more than 6% intra-day today.
The focus was on NASDAQ:RMBS 's potential gains from MU's shift to high-volume DDR5 server DIMM shipments and a projected rise in data center revenue in Q1/24.
Wells Fargo noted that MU's positive trajectory in DDR5 server DIMM shipments is a particularly good sign for RMBS. This trend is expected to lead to a robust quarter-over-quarter ramp-up in RMBS's DDR5 chipset sales into 2024. Additionally, MU's anticipation of DDR5 units surpassing DDR4 in the first half of 2024 could signal an Average Selling Price (ASP) increase and a larger market share for RMBS's chipsets.
The pace of DDR4 inventory drawdowns is also highlighted as a crucial factor for RMBS's near-term performance. With expectations of revenue normalization in DDR4 and continued growth in DDR5 sales, analysts suggest a favorable outlook for RMBS.
Wells Fargo reiterated its Overweight rating and $70 price target on Rambus shares.
Technical Analysis
Rambus is in a rising trend channel in the medium long term. This shows that investors over time have bought the stock at higher prices and indicates good development for the company.
The stock is approaching resistance at 69.50 dollar, which may give a negative reaction. However, a break upwards through 69.00 dollar will be a positive signal.

An ABR of 1.00 indicates Strong Buy.
While the ABR calls for buying Rambus, it may not be wise to make an investment decision solely based on this information. Several studies have shown limited to no success of brokerage recommendations in guiding investors to pick stocks with the best price increase potential.
Do you wonder why? As a result of the vested interest of brokerage firms in a stock they cover, their analysts tend to rate it with a strong positive bias. According to our research, brokerage firms assign five "Strong Buy" recommendations for every "Strong Sell" recommendation.

Double Tops on RMBSUptrend reversed after one large double top and two small double tops. RMBS is forming a small double top and holding support of 200 EMA. If the price falls below 48.5, it may go all the way down to 44, which is a strong support level. By this time RSI would also be in oversold category. RMBS may then start is next uptrend.

Extended Leader Offers SwingRMBS broke out of a cup base 4 weeks ago and now has 3 tight weekly closes and a flag. The weekly chart shows very nice accumulation, and I would consider this for a swing trade if it can push above the trendline since this is very extended from the 10 week and 50 day moving averages.
$RMBS Watching for Pullback SetupI've posted about $RMBS multiple time in recent weeks.
Was showing clear leadership treats through out the market weakness.
That drop on the 14th and come back on the 15th was something.
Watching patiently for a possible pullback setup from here.
Massive breakout volume.
$RMBS Setting up with Strong Relative Strength$RMBS great RS, Great EPS and Sales. Lots to like and setting up.
To be picky, I don't like how the right side of the base built up (2nd chart red arrow up). the base construction feels incomplete but that could be a reflection of volatile market we've been in. Might just go here
Rambus huge 8x potential KEKWTop at 200. Will go above slightly to bait in longs but the cycle top is 200.
I cannot believe people are in markets that go 8x in 9 years at best...
But more like 8x in 35 years.
Its the most boring take your money to the grave thing I have ever ... nevermind.
Good luck.
