National Highways Authority of India engages in the provision and maintenance of national highways. Its functions include survey, development, maintenance and management of the national highways and, inter alia, to construct offices or workshops, to establish hotels, restaurants and rest rooms on or near the highways. The company was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in New Delhi, India.
