Bitcoin Dominance: A Decline on the Way?The market capitalization dominance of Bitcoin, measured in percentage, has continued to behave as anticipated. We've seen an increase and have now ostensibly formed a Wave ((a)), with the current phase being the formation of Wave ((b)). This Wave ((b)) is expected to reach between 100% and 138% of the previous movement. We have almost reached the 100% mark. It's important to remember that these figures don't need to be exact to the percentage point or, in the case of stocks, to the cent, but it's reasonable to expect that Bitcoin's dominance could now decrease. As for Bitcoin, we're likely to see a five-wave downward movement. If market prices rise in the meantime, the altcoins should outperform Bitcoin, though a correction across all currencies is expected before any further upward movement. Once Wave 4 in Bitcoin's dominance concludes, we may see an increase in dominance again, indicating a shift in market dynamics.

BTC dominance could be close to a reversal !It is my opinion that the 55% level should be the point for a reversal in Bitcoin Dominance. So we are only 2% away from an important inflection point. The decision to pause and to slow down interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell could have something to do with it. He hinted the central bank might be done raising interest rates for now. Stocks are reversing and I think we could be for a risk-on period. Bitoin will thrive but I expect Altcoins will outperform given their deeply discounted level. Bitcoin is approaching the apex of the bearish rising wedge and, once it will have broken down, could have a final backtest from below the rising resistance (which at the moment is still support). Cryptolean Bitcoin Dominance BTC.D Update In the weekly chart, Bitcoin Dominance is in the bullish territory, as long as weekly candles close above 53.27%. Below 53.27%, the key weekly support, Bitcoin will share the dominance with Altcoins and BTC.D will decline towards 51.37%. A bearish break-out of 51.37% and #Bitcoin Dominance keeping below this level will push BTC.D to 49% resulting in Altseason. Above 53.27%, the probability to move to 55.5% remains high and this move will put pressure on Satoshi price of Altcoins. Daily Chart After finding a support at 50-Day Moving Average and 53% level, the BTC.D daily chart is lingering around 53.5%. Dominance to drop to 35% if it can't reclaim 58%Should Bitcoin Dominance fail to reclaim an old neckline at 57-58%, it will likely drop back down to its recent lows and continue down to make a new ATL just below 35% Presently, Bitcoin dominance may fail to get above 54.09% on the weekly chart, after losing its uptrend and getting stopped 3x. If instead it does get above it, it still has to reclaim the neckline of a double-top that occurred the last time it tapped ~73.6%, and it appears to be facing resistance to that already, several percentage points below that level. It also has never hit an old rising wedge's TP 2, which happens to line up with a 2x measured move down from the aforementioned double-top. This idea is contrary to another post I've made that sees Bitcoin Dominance as long-term bullish, and headed back towards 100%, which I've linked to below and in the related ideas section as well:
