The CZK's attempt to recover continuously gets foiled by the USDIn the recent sessions, it has been a constant tug of war between bulls and bears for the USD/CZK pair. The Czech koruna’s attempt to recover continuously gets foiled by the US dollar. However, the results from the Czech Republic’s unemployment rate caught investors off guard as it remains unmoved for the month of March. The results from the unemployment rate prevented the greenback from pulling the pair higher this Wednesday. However, it’s still believed that the pair will eventually climb back up to its resistance levels by the half-way mark of the month. Despite recent contractions, the pair is running on bullish territories as the 50-day moving average continues to advance against the 200-day moving average. Meanwhile, the US dollar remains prominent in the foreign exchange market despite the massive surge in the number of coronavirus cases in the United States, which is now the country with the highest number of cases.

USDCZK : on the 4 hour chart a higher low is set and I believe there are 2 possible scenarios. We might set a lower high under 23.7 followed by a higher low and set a tight equilibrium before continuation OR we will fly straight to 24 and make a higher high. USD/CZK failed to breakout from a key resistance lineThe pair failed to breakout from a key resistance line, sending the pair lower towards a major support line. Analysts are worried from their forecasted figures for the Consumer Price Index (CPI) report year-over-year (YoY). This was amid three (3) consecutive figures of 2.3% on the report. The US inflation target were between 1.7% and 2.0%. A figure higher or lower than the range will cause a spike or a significant drop in the value of basic goods. The last time the US have reached the target was on December 2017. Meanwhile, Czech Statistics Office for foreign workers, which made up 13% of the labor force, doubled in ten (10) years. The increased productivity and record-level unemployment figures is good for the Czech Koruna. Majority of the foreign workers in Prague were from Ukraine, Slovakia, and Vietnam. The increased US military activity on the eastern bloc will boost employment in eastern European country.

USD/CZK will reverse back in today’s sessionThe pair will reverse back in today’s session following last Friday’s weak candle, sending the pair lower toward its previous low. Czechia introduced its digital taxation system during the meeting of the EU’s finance ministers in Brussels. The move by Prague was in addition to the growing number of EU-member states introducing a digital taxation bill. The proposed taxation system targets large US technology companies like Apple, Facebook, and Google. Margrethe Vestager, who led the world’s largest tax case complain against Apple for $14 billion, is currently serving as Competition Minister for the second term under the commission of Ursula von der Leyen. On the other hand, the United States warned that it will retaliate to Czechia in the form of tariffs once the Czech Parliament passed the bill. Under the bill, the government will tax technology companies with more than $100 billion in market capitalization by 7%.
