About Hungary Consumer Confidence Index
In Hungary, GKI Economic Research consumer confidence index measures the level of optimism that consumers have about the performance of the economy. The consumer confidence index is calculated from responses given to questions concerning the actual and the expected financial position of households, the actual and the expected economic situation of the country, and the purchase of higher value consumer durables.
