About Norway Exports
In 2019, exports from Norway slumped 9.4 percent from the previous year to NOK 904 billion, amid sluggish global growth and trade tensions between the US and China. Main exports were: mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials (56 percent of total exports), in particular petroleum, petroleum products (34 percent) and gas, natural and manufactured (21 percent); fish, crustaceans, molluscs and prep. thereof (12 percent); machinery and transport equipment (10 percent) mostly general industrial machinery and equipment (2 percent) and electrical machinery and apparatus (2 percent); chemicals and related products (7 percent); and non-ferrous metals (6 percent). The UK was the largest destination of Norway's shipments (20 percent of total exports), followed by Germany (14 percent), the Netherlands (11 percent), Sweden (8 percent), France (6 percent), Denmark (5 percent), the US, China and Belgium (4 percent each).
