About Tunisia Balance Of Trade
Tunisia is a net exporter of textiles, agricultural products (olive oil, citrus, vegetables), phosphates and chemicals. The country also sends abroad mechanical and electrical goods and hydrocarbons. Tunisia imports mostly machinery and equipment, chemicals, fuel and food. The European Union is Tunisia’s major market: approximately 80 percent of Tunisia’s exports go to the EU, and 60 per cent of imports originate from France, Italy, Germany and Spain.
