EURHUF - Good Example of using Pivot PointsI've been trading for over 7 years and I've come to love pivot points! I see pivot points being used constantly and i just wanted to show you EURHUF on a 15 minute chart as an example. When the US market opened they made big moves around yesterday's price level until it hit the first support level. I use pivots to scalp the market so i can compound my longs and shorts to make up for any losses that may have happened!
Pivots are usually only used in day or swing trading on the 1 minute, 5 min and 15 min charts. Zoom out to multiple time frames to check the trend and then take orders only in the direction of the trend to have some confluence going on. Don't just take trades blindly without fully being aware of what's going on. Make sure you read all and any economic news that is out there!!
NOTE: Pivots don't always work but for the most part you can see them being used here in real time.

EURHUF Short UpdateDid take the first profit on the short I published on May 26. I moved my stop loss a bit and adjusted the Harmonic pattern to a Daily Chart to have a clearer view. Frankly, I am skeptical of hitting the 357 ish target, But I want to stick to this TA as much as possible. Will partially take profit along the way. the ECB on Thursday is what I'm looking forward to.
EURHUF Harmonic PatternBeen watching the EURHUF for several months now. as the political/economic situation in the eastern part of Europe gets more and more complicated, could picture this Bullish Harmonic pattern forming against the Hungarian Forint. I know shorting the incomplete harmonic is not recommended, but I believe with a managed risk, you can trade any Idea.
Of course, in case of this Harmonic Pattern is completed, I'll be looking for a good long setup toward the 420HUF.

Forint is not out of the woods, yetDespite some modest HUF strenghtening EURHUF looks always bullish as hell. Hungary's central bank MNB announced bigger steps in rate hikes, projecting 8% by the end of the year. Plus, elections coming ahead and none of the results favouring HUF in the short term. Viktor Orban's 4th consecutive win would give HUF a great pressure, assuming the continuation of the forint weakening. A change in the governing political party would lead the country to a really uncharted territory with unknown political actors and measures.
EURHUF: Monthly Bearish Divergence 3 Line Strike Double Top This seems like it's set up to give us a Deep Retrace in the Coming Months; For 3 months It tried to make a Higher High and it succeeded only to be Bearishly Rejected by one big Bearish Monthly Candle afterwards.
Upon making this higher high you showed huge amounts of Bearish Divergence on the RSI and you printed a Bullish 3 Line Strike Pattern. Due to this i can only assume we will see much lower prices from here.

Data-wise, the EU published the Consumer Price Index, which surged to a record high of 4.9% YoY in November, according to preliminary estimates. The core reading printed at 2.6%, much higher than the previous 2%, piling pressure on the European Central Bank to start trimming facilities.
On Wednesday, Germany will publish October Retail Sales, expected to have dropped by 2% YoY. Markit will publish the final readings of its Manufacturing PMIs for the EU.
