It operates through the following business segments: Electronic and Functional Materials Business, Aluminum and Copper Business, Equipment and Materials Business, and Metal Processing Business. The Electronic and Functional Materials Business segment provides crystals used in demand-expanding smartphones, tablet terminals, electric cars, hybrid cars, IT (Information Technology)-related devices, and minor metals (such as titanium, tungsten, molybdenum and rare earths). The Aluminum and Copper Business segment handles raw materials such as recycled and reused non-ferrous metal raw materials, which attract great attention for global warming prevention and energy saving. The Equipment and Materials Business segment manufactures and sells the welding materials, thermal spraying used in the repair for mold of auto parts manufacturing. The Metal Processing Business segment manufactures cutting parts of low machinability materials, such as titanium and molybdenum.
