Gold bulls take control as geopolitical risk take center stage!Gold prices advanced during the Asian trading hours, touching a fresh daily high around the $3,317 mark. The move comes amid a combination of factors boosting demand for the yellow metal, notably dovish signals from the Federal Reserve and escalating geopolitical tensions.
The US Dollar weakened following Friday's softer-than-expected inflation data, which has strengthened market expectations for a potential Fed rate cut in the second half of 2025. Investors are now positioning for looser monetary policy, which typically enhances the appeal of non-yielding assets like gold.
In parallel, geopolitical risks continue to dominate market sentiment. Ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, coupled with renewed US-China trade tensions, have weighed on risk appetite and fueled safe-haven inflows into gold.
From a technical standpoint, XAU/USD faces immediate resistance in the $3,355–$3,375 supply zone. A sustained move above this area could open the door to further gains. Conversely, any near-term pullback might find initial support near the $3,300 psychological level, with stronger buying interest expected around the $3,280–$3,278 region.
GOLD trade ideas
GOLD conditions seem to remain bearish: Pay attention to hintsFor now, we can see that Gold’s bullish momentum has stalled and since Friday Gold has been under pressure from 3325. Not surprisingly though, the market structure performed as expected this past week.
I believe that short-term price action in gold may remain choppy next week due to Trump’s temporary tariff measures so caution is advised.
My bias is still the same as before, I think that on Monday the market will open bearish likely pushing price lower initially.
As you can see in my previous analysis, the forecasted move played as expected:
So this being said I plan to react based on how price behaves at support of 3270-3250 on the lower side in the short term.
If price tags the support as shown on my chart, I’ll be watching for a possible rebound toward 3300. This range in particular should not be overlooked . This area aligns with the point of control, and given how price often gravitates back to high-volume zones after sharp moves, a recovery to that level would be a natural reaction.
The key point lies in how the market will open and how price will behave, as well as the overall sentiment.
Gold's next move won’t be random, there are strong confluences at play that will guide and give us hints, so it’s up to us to stay attentive.
If we were to break upside above the $3,330 level, then we can see more bullish outlook next
The other scenario, to be taking into account would be to start with a strong bullish candle and reach 3330 before a drop.
Wishing you a profitable trading weekend ahead. This is just a forecast and should not be considered financial advice.
Lingrid | GOLD Weekly MARKET Update: Price Coiled for Major Move OANDA:XAUUSD has formed an inside bar pattern on the monthly timeframe, creating a high-probability setup for the next major directional move. May's candle sits completely within April's range, with this compression typically preceding explosive moves in either direction. The 4H chart shows a complex corrective structure following multiple failed breakout attempts from the April high around. The recent bounce from support, which is May's low, suggests potential accumulation, though the overall structure remains corrective with descending highs.
Current price sits near the middle of the critical range. A break above May's high at 3,400 could trigger rapid acceleration toward 3,500-3,600, while breakdown below 3,120 would likely target major support around 3,000-3,050. Multiple fake breaks on shorter timeframes suggest accumulated stops on both sides, potentially fueling rapid acceleration once genuine breakout occurs. The A-B-C corrective pattern visible suggests the recent decline may be nearing completion.
The monthly inside bar pattern's resolution will likely determine gold's trajectory through the summer months. A bullish breakout could reignite the broader uptrend toward new highs, while a bearish resolution might trigger a deeper correction that tests major support levels. Either outcome would likely provide substantial trading opportunities for those positioned correctly when the pattern resolves.
The broader fundamental backdrop continues to support gold's long-term bullish case, though short-term technical factors may drive the immediate direction. Central bank policies, geopolitical tensions, and currency debasement concerns provide underlying support, while technical positioning suggests the market is primed for significant movement.

GOLD → Correction to liquidity before growthFX:XAUUSD is in the realization phase after exiting the “symmetrical triangle” consolidation. The price is supported by the trend and a complex fundamental background.
Gold is retreating from its peak, remaining below risk support. The price of gold is falling moderately from $3,392, awaiting data on JOLTS job openings in the US.
Gold is supported by trade and geopolitical risks: Trump doubled tariffs on metals, increasing pressure on the dollar. The conflict with China has escalated due to allegations of violations of agreements.
Focus on US employment: Strong data could support the dollar and limit gold's gains, but the technical picture remains bullish.
Resistance levels: 3365, 3391, 3409
Support levels: 3345, 3323
Against the backdrop of a rising dollar, gold may test deeper liquidity zones, such as 3345 and 3330. However, if trading forms between 3365 and 3345, followed by a retest of resistance and consolidation above 3365, this could trigger an early rise to 3391-3409.
Best regards, R. Linda!
Lingrid | GOLD ABC Correction Complete, Next Resistance in FocusOANDA:XAUUSD continues to ride an upward channel, recently rebounding from trendline support after a flag breakout. The price tested resistance near 3430 before pulling back slightly, forming a potential bullish retest setup. If the 3337 support holds, a continuation toward the 3430 zone remains in play.
📈 Key Levels
Buy zone: 3330–3340
Buy trigger: bounce from channel support
Target: 3430
Sell trigger: close below 3330
💡 Risks
Break below channel invalidates bullish structure
Resistance at 3430 may cap upside
Weaker momentum could trigger another flag-style retracement

In Theory, You’re a Great Trader — In Practice, You’re Human🧠 10 Ways Trading Theory Falls Apart in Real Practice
Because in theory, you're rich. In practice, you panic-sold at support.
“In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.”
— Yogi Berra
Welcome to trading — where you read about patience and discipline, and then blow up your account chasing a breakout at 3AM.
Let’s explore the top 10 ways trading theory gets wrecked by real-world execution, complete with painful honesty and maybe a laugh or two (because crying is for after market close).
________________________________________
1. 🎯 In theory: You always follow your trading plan.
In practice:
You make a new plan after every trade.
That loss wasn’t part of “the plan,” so obviously the plan was wrong. Let’s fix it — during the trade — in real-time — while it bleeds. Genius.
________________________________________
2. 🧘♂️ In theory: You manage risk carefully.
In practice:
"Let me just move the stop... just this once... just 10 more pips..."
Before you know it, your stop loss is in the next timezone, and your trade is now a long-term investment.
________________________________________
3. 📊 In theory: Backtesting proves the strategy works.
I n practice:
Backtest = you, alone, with no emotions, clicking replay in TradingView.
Live trading = markets screaming, Twitter panicking, and you entering on the 1-minute chart because “it felt right.”
________________________________________
4. 💻 In theory: You’ll be objective.
In practice:
You saw one green candle and whispered:
“This is it. The reversal. I feel it.”
You weren’t objective. You were in a situationship with your trade.
________________________________________
5. 💰 In theory: R:R 2:1 minimum.
In practice:
You close at +0.3R “just to be safe” — and then it hits target 10 minutes later while you re-enter worse, and get stopped.
________________________________________
6. 🕒 In theory: You wait for confirmation.
In practice:
You anticipate confirmation. You hope for confirmation.
Spoiler: hope is not a strategy. But hey, at least you learned… again.
________________________________________
7. 🤖 In theory: You’re a rules-based, emotionless trader.
In practice:
You meditate, breathe deeply, journal, and then buy Gold after CPI with no stop loss and max leverage.
So much for being the Terminator.
________________________________________
8. 📚 In theory: More knowledge = better performance.
I n practice:
You read five books, memorized all candlestick names, and still entered long into resistance because it “looked bullish.”
Trading isn’t trivia night. It’s controlled decision-making under fire.
________________________________________
9. 😤 In theory: You’ll accept losses calmly.
In practice:
First you rage-quit. Then you revenge trade. Then you open ChatGPT and ask:
“Should I hedge this 80% drawdown?”
________________________________________
10. 📆 In theory: You’ll be consistent.
In practice:
You traded London Open on Monday, Asian Session on Tuesday, and New York close on Friday.
Consistency? You don’t even use the same time frame twice in a row.
________________________________________
🚧 So… how do you bridge the gap?
1. Journal your trades — honestly. Especially the emotional mess-ups.
2. Create rules you can actually follow — not Instagram-quote rules.
3. Simulate real conditions — including drawdowns, boredom, and fakeouts.
4. Accept that mistakes are part of the job — and build for resilience, not perfection.
5. Trade small enough that you don’t care much — so you can learn while surviving.
________________________________________
🎯 Final word:
Trading theory is like a clean whiteboard.
But the market? It’s a chaotic toddler with crayons and no rules.
If you can operate inside that chaos — with clarity and emotional control — that’s when the theory starts working.
GOLD → Retesting resistance may lead to a breakoutFX:XAUUSD is still bullish. The price is consolidating in the range of 3390-3345, with an intermediate bottom forming inside the channel, which overall indicates positive signs.
On Thursday, gold is consolidating ahead of $3390. Consolidation after growth, within a bullish trend, is a good sign. But, on the one hand, the price is supported by growing tensions between Russia and Ukraine. On the other hand, optimism about US trade negotiations with Canada, the EU, and China is strengthening the dollar and holding back demand for gold.
Additional pressure on the dollar is coming from weak US macro statistics, especially ADP data and the decline in the ISM Services PMI, which have reinforced expectations of Fed policy easing. Traders are waiting for further signals from the regulator.
Resistance levels: 3391.4, 3414, 3435
Support levels: 3365, 3345
Technically, gold is rising and forming a retest of consolidation resistance. If the 3391 level is broken, the price may head towards 3435. Before breaking through resistance, a correction or retest of 3365 may form. However, consolidation near 3391 and a gradual squeeze towards the level will increase the chances of a breakout and growth.
Best regards, R. Linda!
Gut Feeling Vs. Technical Analysis- How I Take TradesTrading Is Both Art and Science
Every trader, no matter how data-driven, eventually encounters moments when they just know something about the market.
That quiet internal signal:
“Don’t touch this today.”
Or: “Get ready. Something’s coming.”
That’s not random emotion. That’s your gut feeling – and in trading, it's worth paying attention to. But here's the catch:
👉 Gut feeling alone isn’t enough.
👉 Technical analysis alone isn’t either.
The real edge comes when both align.
________________________________________
What Is Gut Feeling in Trading?
“Gut feeling” is a term used to describe intuitive decisions that seem to arise without conscious reasoning. In trading, it often presents as a subtle inner nudge – a warning, a hesitation, or a surge of clarity.
Contrary to popular belief, it’s not just emotion. It’s often the result of:
• Unconscious pattern recognition from years (or decades) of chart-watching
• Internalized market behavior that doesn’t show up on an indicator
• Emotional awareness, sensing when the environment isn’t right to trade
Experienced traders know this isn’t “woo.” It’s pattern memory speaking quietly.
________________________________________
On the Other Hand: What We Call Technical Analysis?
We all know the tools: support/resistance, price action, indicators like RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, maybe Smart Money Concepts or just clean trendlines, etc.
Technical analysis gives us structure — measurable, repeatable setups. But let’s not pretend it captures everything:
• News can spike irrationally
• Liquidity can vanish when you least expect it
• And sometimes, the chart says 'yes' but the market mood says 'don’t trust it'
That’s where gut feeling becomes the final filter.
________________________________________
✅ Why I Wait for Alignment
Let’s be honest: most bad trades happen when you force action despite internal hesitation.
Here’s how I frame decisions:
✅ Full alignment
• Gut: Yes
• Technicals: Yes
• 👉 Take the trade
⚠️ Gut says no, but technicals agree
• Gut: No
• Technicals: Yes
• 🚫 Wait – something’s off
⚠️ Gut says yes, but technicals are unclear
• Gut: Yes
• Technicals: No
• 👁 Watch only – do not act
❌ No alignment
• Gut: No
• Technicals: No
• ✅ Stay out – smart decision
You’re not supposed to be in every trade. You’re supposed to be in the right trades.
________________________________________
🔍 Real-Life Example: Gold (XAUUSD)
Yesterday, Gold surged due to geopolitical escalation and renewed tariff tension.
Is looking bullish now: descending trendline broken, above 3350 which acts as confluence support.
📈 The chart said: “Buy.”
🧠 But my gut said: “ No. This is an emotional move. It’s not done correcting .”
So I stayed out.
Why?
Because if I trade while my gut says “no”, I second-guess every tick.
Even if the chart is right, I start hoping it fails — just to prove my feeling was right.
That’s emotional sabotage.
But when gut and chart say the same thing, I don’t hesitate.
Even if the trade loses, I’m at peace. I executed from clarity, not conflict.
That’s not just technical skill. That’s mental edge.
🧠 How to Develop Trustworthy Intuition
If you’re new or inconsistent, your “gut feeling” might just be fear, greed, or FOMO. But over time, real intuition can be trained like a muscle.
1. Screen Time
The more markets you watch, the more silent patterns your brain absorbs. Eventually, you’ll “feel” momentum shifts before indicators print them.
2. Journaling
Write down what you felt before each trade. Did it align with your plan? Over time, you’ll spot which feelings were intuition and which were impulse.
3. Meditation & Clarity
The more you control your emotional noise, the easier it becomes to hear real signals.
________________________________________
⚠️ Common Pitfalls: When Gut Feeling Betrays You
Let’s be clear – not every gut feeling is wise. Here are some red flags:
• Revenge trading disguised as confidence
• FOMO masked as intuition
• Fear of missing out during high volatility sessions
• Fatigue or stress, which distort perception
🧠 Tip: A real gut feeling comes with calm clarity, not urgency or adrenaline.
________________________________________
🎯 Final Thought
Gut Feeling + Technical Analysis = Peace of Mind
The best trades aren’t just technically correct — they’re internally clean. No doubt. No hesitation. No self-conflict.
Wait for alignment. Then execute with full presence.

GOLD 1H CHART ROUTE MAP UPDATE & TRADING PLAN FOR THE WEEKHey Everyone,
Please see our updated 1h chart levels and targets for the coming week.
We are seeing price play between two weighted levels with a gap above at 3305 and a gap below at 3271. We will need to see ema5 cross and lock on either weighted level to determine the next range.
We will see levels tested side by side until one of the weighted levels break and lock to confirm direction for the next range.
We will keep the above in mind when taking buys from dips. Our updated levels and weighted levels will allow us to track the movement down and then catch bounces up.
We will continue to buy dips using our support levels taking 20 to 40 pips. As stated before each of our level structures give 20 to 40 pip bounces, which is enough for a nice entry and exit. If you back test the levels we shared every week for the past 24 months, you can see how effectively they were used to trade with or against short/mid term swings and trends.
The swing range give bigger bounces then our weighted levels that's the difference between weighted levels and swing ranges.

Lingrid | GOLD trend Continuation Targets April High RetestOANDA:XAUUSD has reclaimed the 3,350 level following a successful retest of the upward trendline, sustaining a bullish channel structure. After multiple breakouts and a clean consolidation above previous resistance, price is setting up for a potential move toward the 3,500 mark. A pullback and bounce near 3,330 would reinforce this bullish continuation scenario.
📈 Key Levels
Buy zone: 3,338–3,345
Buy trigger: strong bullish candle above 3,365
Target: 3,500
Sell trigger: break below 3,338 with volume
💡 Risks
Rejection near 3,365 could delay breakout
Breakdown below 3,338 weakens bullish trend
Consolidation flattening may reduce momentum burst potential

XAUUSD Analysis Today: Technical and Order Flow !In this video I will be sharing my XAUUSD analysis today, by providing my complete technical and order flow analysis, so you can watch it to possibly improve your forex trading skillset. The video is structured in 3 parts, first I will be performing my complete technical analysis, then I will be moving to the COT data analysis, so how the big payers in market are moving their orders, and to do this I will be using my customized proprietary software and then I will be putting together these two different types of analysis.
GOLD → Intra-range strategy. Waiting for NFPFX:XAUUSD remains consolidated in the 3340-3391 range. The price is stuck in the middle of the range due to the uncertainty created by upcoming unemployment news...
On Friday, gold rose slightly, remaining within the range ahead of important US employment data (NFP), which could set the direction for the market. Optimism over the US-China deal and profit-taking on the dollar are supporting the USD, holding back gold's rise. A weak NFP (less than 100,000) will reinforce expectations of a Fed rate cut and support gold. A strong report (above 200,000) will have the opposite effect. The probability of a rate cut in September is 54%.
Technically, on the daily timeframe, the market structure is bullish. After a sharp breakout of resistance and a new high, the price is consolidating above the upward trend line, forming a plateau in the 3300-3340 zone. Another shakeout from support is possible before the trend resumes
Resistance levels: 3375, 3391, 3414
Support levels: 3339, 3331
Forming a price forecast ahead of news, especially ahead of NFP, is a thankless task. Therefore, it is advisable to wait for the news and monitor the price reaction. A retest of the consolidation boundary and a rebound are possible. There is a chance that the price will remain in consolidation until next week, but again, it all depends on the fundamental background...
Best regards, R. Linda!
GOLD 1H CHART ROUTE MAP UPDATEHey Everyone,
As anticipated, the market structure continues to respect our key levels and EMA5 dynamics to the letter.
After the clean bounce from 3334 into 3359, price did indeed push back toward 3389 for the retest, just as outlined. Once again ema5 failed to cross and lock above 3389, confirming rejection again. It’s important to highlight that price did retest 3389 exactly as projected, completing the range once again.
Crucially, no further EMA5 cross and lock above 3389 was seen, reconfirming the rejection and driving price back into the lower Goldturns, which we will now look for support and bounce off these levels.
The structure continues to unfold with precision, showing once again how effective our level based framework is when paired with EMA5 confirmations. This setup keeps us well aligned with market momentum.
As always, we remain focused and continue to buy dips using our support levels, capturing those 20 to 40 pip opportunities. As we’ve proven time and again, each level gives enough of a bounce for a quality entry and exit.
We encourage everyone to backtest our levels, we’ve shared them weekly for the past 3 years , and the data speaks for itself. These levels continue to work brilliantly with both short/mid term trends and countertrends.
BULLISH TARGET 3305 – ✅ DONE
EMA5 CROSS AND LOCK ABOVE 3305 WILL OPEN THE FOLLOWING BULLISH TARGETS

GOLD → Correction after distribution. Bullish trendFX:XAUUSD is testing the liquidity zone at 3350 and forming a false breakout of resistance within the uptrend. A correction is possible before growth continues.
The fundamental background is quite controversial in the market. In the current situation, the focus is on relations between Russia and Ukraine, especially after the escalation that took place over the weekend. Everyone is watching the ongoing negotiations in Turkey. In addition, we should not forget about the situation with tariffs, which is still quite tense.
Gold has been rallying since the opening of the session and has reached the order block. A false breakout of resistance is forming, which could trigger a correction to the zone of interest. The dollar is hitting support, which could form a local correction before continuing its movement. This could also affect the price of gold, which remains bullish in the market.
Resistance levels: 3350, 3365, 3409
Support levels: 3303, 3264
The price has broken out of consolidation, with resistance tested and liquidity above 3350 realized. Relative to the current level, a correction is possible with the aim of retesting support before continuing to rise.

GOLD ROUTE MAP UPDATEHey Everyone,
Another powerful day in the markets with our chart idea unfolding exactly as anticipated.
In yesterday’s update, we highlighted that all our targets, 3305, 3334, and 3359 were hit following the EMA5 cross and lock confirmation. We also pointed out the EMA5 lock above 3359, now left 3389 open.
✅ Today, that 3389 level was hit to perfection.
The absence of a further EMA5 lock above confirmed a precise rejection, sending price back down into the lower Goldturns for support and bounce inline with our plans to buy dips.
We will continue to buy dips using our support levels taking 20 to 40 pips and track the movement with ema5 lock or rejection. As stated before each of our level structures give 20 to 40 pip bounces, which is enough for a nice entry and exit. If you back test the levels we shared every week for the past 24 months, you can see how effectively they were used to trade with or against short/mid term swings and trends.

XAUUSD: +1500 TO +2200 PIPS Major Swing Move in Making, Two AreaThe first day of the trading week has seen Gold skyrocket, clearly indicating a bullish price direction. HelenP. I Gold will drop to support level from pennant patternHi folks today I'm prepared for you Gold analytics. The chart started with a strong impulse move upward from the support zone around 3190 - 3205, where buyers stepped in and pushed the price aggressively higher. This bullish momentum continued until the price reached the trend line, which had previously acted as a dynamic resistance. Upon contact with the trend line, the market lost strength and began to compress into a narrowing formation, a classic downward pennant. Within this pennant, the price made several lower highs, suggesting waning bullish power and the buildup of pressure inside a tightening range. Sellers became more active near the resistance zone around 3365 - 3380, and each upward attempt was quickly absorbed. Now the structure shows signs of a potential breakout to the downside. Given this formation and the current price behavior near the upper edge of the pennant, I expect a minor upward movement followed by a sharp breakdown. My goal lies at the 3205 support level, where previous demand emerged. That’s why I remain bearish and see this level as a realistic goal for the next move. THE KOG REPORT - UpdateEnd of day update from us here at KOG:
That was a nice move early session from the red box all the way down breaking through support to target our bias level and then giving a TAP AND BOUNCE for the long. These long trades however are now protected and managed due to the pre-event price action around the corner.
So now we have support below again at the bias level and the red box with resistance above 3355-60 red box. We're in from below so our area of interest will be that level for the remainder of the session.
As always, trade safe.

GOLD ROUTE MAP UPDATEHey Everyone,

In yesterday’s update, we highlighted that all our targets 3305, 3334, and 3359 were hit following the EMA5 cross and lock confirmation. We also pointed out the EMA5 lock above 3359, opening a clear gap to 3389, which was also hit perfectly. The absence of a further EMA5 lock above confirmed a precise rejection, sending price back down into the lower Goldturns for support, just as projected. We then had the bounce off the 3334 level, another clean reaction, just like we stated.
Now today, after testing and bouncing from 3334 into 3359, price is now charging back toward 3389 for a potential retest, as that level remains open once again.
The structure is playing out beautifully, we will stick to the plan, and manage risk wisely.
The swing range give bigger bounces then our weighted levels that's the difference between weighted levels and swing ranges.

GOLD - Price can drop to support line of triangle patternHi guys, this is my overview for XAUUSD, feel free to check it and write your feedback in comments👊
In this chart price formed a triangle pattern, where it first declined to support line and then made an impulse up.
After this, Gold broke $3165 level and, after a small correction reached and broke $3400 level too.
Then it rose to resistance line of triangle and dropped below $3400 level, breaking it one more time.
Price tried to back up, but failed and dropped more to support line of triangle, after which started to grow.
In a short time price rose to resistance line of triangle, which coincided with resistance level and area.
Now, I think that Gold can drop from resistance area to $3250 point of support line of triangle.
