Moreover, the company is making strides to monetize some of its apps such as WhatsApp, with paid messaging services gaining momentum. Additionally, Facebook Reels and e-commerce markets provide significant long-term opportunities for the company to generate revenue. Despite its recent struggles, Meta Platforms is implementing cost-cutting initiatives and restructuring efforts to improve its financial performance. While the company's investment in the metaverse, a potential HKEX:1 trillion opportunity, is yet to yield results, it is expected to pay off in the long term. It is used to identify short-term trends in the market. (9-day) Base line (Kijun-Sen): This is a longer-term moving average that measures the average of the highest high and lowest low over the past 26 periods. It is used to identify longer-term trends in the market. (26-day) Lagging span (Chikou Span): This is the current closing price, plotted 26 periods behind. It is used to confirm signals given by the conversion line and base line. Bullish Cloud (Senkou Span A): This is the area between the conversion line and the base line, shaded green on the chart. It represents support and indicates a bullish trend. Bearish Cloud (Senkou Span B): This is the area between two longer-term moving averages, shaded red on the chart. It represents resistance and indicates a bearish trend.

FaceBook (META) - Long-Term Approach to Big Gains.Hello All, As we can see Facebook (Meta) has sold off almost 50%. On a fear and greed chart, we would be entering the fear stage which is now presenting us with good long-term buying opportunities. In the chart we labeled three areas to start Dollar Cost Averaging back into Facebook (META). In the first area, we would allocate the smallest portion while the final area would be a larger portion. This is for long-term holding and not trading. The markets are extremely uncertain currently. At the end of last year, we have sent warnings to get out of the tech sector, due to high levels of greed and overextended markets propped up by money printing, new investors & news narratives. Now that these stocks are coming back to earth we are presented with new long-term opportunities over the coming months.

UK bans TikTok on government devicesFacebook / META is now up some 140% since the start of November with plenty of upside to all time highs. With the Zuck laying off staff left right and centre giving the stock a boost, the latest news that might keep the run going is the increasing pressure on the US and other governments to ban TikTok from mobile devices due to security of personal data concerns. In December, President Biden signed legislation prohibiting TikTok on federal government devices, joining what has become a list of more than half of US states with US lawmakers proposing expanding the Biden administration’s authority to enact a nationwide ban on TikTok. Just now, the UK has also announced that TikTok is to be banned off all their Government devices, so will be interesting to see if this spreads further to consumer devices and helps push users back to sites like YouTube and Facebook with their video shorts formats as well as their messaging services like WhatsApp. I doubt the banning of Government officials will affect any of the TikTok crowd but will be interesting to see if consumers are next and where it stops...

How High Can Meta Fly?Meta Platforms has been flying as Mark Zuckerberg focuses on profitability and buybacks. So how high can the Nasdaq-100’s No. 2 performer this year go before profit takers step in? Today’s chart uses 2-day candles to highlight some potentially important levels. The first price zone is about $5.50 on either side of $242. The top of that area is near a bearish price gap on February 3, 2022, after a poor earnings report. The bottom of the zone matches the April 2022, which was followed by a drop of more than 60 percent. (The 2021 low of $244.61 is also in the middle of this price area.) The second consideration is the 50 percent retracement of the drop from META’s all-time high through last November’s low. That’s located at $236.21. Either way, these approaches may suggest another 10-15 percent of space to the upside.
