US DOLLAR Analysis: Bullish Momentum Building?TVC:DXY is finally showing signs of stabilization. The index has successfully rejected a key support level, an area where price has historically attracted strong buying interest. This level closely aligns with the psychological $100 mark, which has once again acted as a pivotal point for market participants, reinforcing its relevance as a key technical level.
The recent price action confirms bullish interest, as evidenced by a strong rejection pattern within the zone, with long lower wicks and bullish follow-through candles. The support zone held firm, and buyers have stepped in, initiating an upward move.
Now that price has bounced from this level, the probability of a continued rally increases. If the bullish momentum sustains, the price could move toward the 102.500 level, a logical near-term target based on previous structure and minor resistance.
However, a failure to maintain above the 100.00 handle or a sudden shift in sentiment could still pose downside risks. A confirmed breakdown below the green support zone would invalidate this bullish outlook and potentially open the door for further declines.
Remember, always confirm your setups and use proper risk management.
DXY trade ideas
USD Index (DXY) Short Setup: Reversal Expected from Resistance Z1. Entry Point: ~102.430
The price is currently below this level at 101.583, suggesting a potential short setup once the entry level is reached or confirmed.
2. Stop Loss: ~103.196
This is the price level where losses are limited if the trade moves against the intended direction. It's placed above a strong resistance zone.
3. Resistance Point: ~100.580
This was a previous resistance level which has now been broken, indicating a bullish push. The current price is above this, which may signal a breakout.
4. EA Target Point: ~97.857
The take-profit level, significantly lower, indicating a bearish target. This suggests a short position is intended from the entry point.
Indicators and Signals
The chart uses moving averages (likely 50 EMA and 200 EMA), and the price has surged above them, often a bullish signal.
However, the analysis seems to anticipate a reversal from the 102.430 level, expecting a drop back down toward 97.857.
The move from the current price to the target would be a 4.40% decline, a significant move for an index.
Trade Plan Summary
Trade Type: Likely a short/sell from the 102.430 level.
Risk: ~0.77 (103.196 - 102.430)
Reward: ~4.57 (102.430 - 97.857)
Risk-to-Reward Ratio: Approx. 1:6, which is favorable if the setup works out.

US DOLLAR INDEX(DXY): Bullish Outlook & BreakoutThe Dollar Index formed a significant inverted head and shoulders pattern on a 4-hour chart.
Following the release of yesterday's economic data, the market surged and broke through both the neckline and a strong downward trend line.
This created an expanding demand zone with two broken structures.
I plan to take long positions in anticipation of a bullish trend continuing to at least 102 support level.

DXY Ready to Pop – Watch That 100 Break! After breaking below the key psychological level at 100 and making a low just under 98, the Dollar Index ( TVC:DXY ) has entered a consolidation phase.
Over the past three weeks, price has developed an inverted head and shoulders pattern, with the neckline perfectly aligning with the horizontal resistance at 100 — a strong zone of confluence from both a technical and psychological standpoint.
Despite the current hesitation under resistance, the structure suggests bullish potential. I believe we are approaching a breakout above 100, and once that happens, an acceleration to the upside is likely to follow.
🎯 Target: 102
🔒 Invalidation: A break below 98 would cancel the bullish bias.
As long as the price stays above the 98 area, I remain bullish and expect the dollar to strengthen.
🚀 The breakout hasn’t happened yet — but the pressure is building.
$DXY Dump Incoming? What’s Next for Cryptos!TVC:DXY Dump Incoming? What’s Next for Cryptos!
The fractals in the chart are insane and indicate a drop in the U.S. Dollar Index (DXY) that can fuel significant moves in the crypto market:
Bitcoin & Altcoins Surge:
As the dollar weakens, cryptocurrencies become more attractive, expecting strong rallies in BTC and altcoins.
Commodities Rise:
Gold, silver, and oil typically gain, making crypto a competitor in the “store of value” race.
Risk-On Sentiment:
Investors shift to riskier assets like crypto, increasing prices.
Global FX Shift:
Other currencies gain strength, making crypto a go-to asset for global investors.
Bottom line: When the dollar drops, crypto thrives.

USD Holds Key Res at 102 but Bulls Show Up at Higher-LowUSD came into the week with a full head of steam as price broke out to the 102.00 level on Monday. This was pushed by a strong move in USD/JPY testing 148 and EUR/USD testing 1.1100 - but then the Tuesday CPI report came out soft and that gave bulls reason to take profits on the USD.
That pullback ran vividly into early-Wednesday trade but at that point, support appeared at an important spot of prior resistance of 100.28, which was the neckline for the inverse head and shoulders pattern that led into last week's FOMC-fueled breakout.
That support has so far held and that keeps bulls in control of the trend on daily and four-hour charts. The key test now is a big batch of drivers for tomorrow morning with retail sales, PPI and a speech from FOMC Chair Jerome Powell.
At this point, EUR/USD retains bearish potential and USD/JPY bullish potential, which I'll touch on in a following post, and the door is open for Dollar bulls to make a move into the end of the week. On the other side of DXY, USD/CAD remains of interest as the pair has re-tested the psychological level of 1.4000. - js
the trap has layerswhat if i told you the dxy was not done yet,
what if i told you, there was 1 more push up,
1 more test before it truly breaks and starts a bull market.
what if i told you that on that final test, that final push up,
the crypto market breaks and takes everything.
---
you probably wouldn't believe me.

looking at the dxy as a simple zig-zag with a complex flat in the b-wave.
once wave b is completed, at about 110-111,
i predict it drops down, deep
and while it drops,
it triggers alt season.

DOLLAR INDEX (DXY): Bullish Reversal Confirmed?!
Dollar Index formed an inverted head and shoulders pattern on a daily.
Its neckline breakout is a strong bullish reversal signal.
The broken neckline of the pattern turns into a significant support now.
We can expect a growth from that at least to 101.25 resistance.

DXY Sell this rally. Bearish until end-of-year.The U.S. Dollar index (DXY) has been trading within a Channel Down since the September 26 2022 High and is currently on a medium-term Bearish Leg. The last 3 weeks however have been a short-term rebound (all 1W candles green), but the price is still below both the 1W MA200 (orang trend-line) and the 1W MA50 (blue trend-line).
This doesn't alter the bearish trend as this is not the first time we've seen this price action. More specifically, DXY also made a short-term rebound during the first Bearish Leg of the pattern and rebounded on January 30 2023 back to the 1W MA50. This delivered a strong rejection which eventually completed the Bearish Leg with one last round of selling to complete a -13.30% Bearish Leg in total.
Before that, we also saw the same pattern (also on 1W RSI terms) in 2020, when on August 31 2020 the price again had a short-term rebound only to resume the bearish trend and finish the sequence again at -13.40% from the top.
As a result, as long as the price remains (closes) below the 1W MA50, the last sell signal is given when the 1W RSI breaks above its MA (yellow trend-line) and then we can expect the Bearish Leg to complete a -13.30% decline with a 96.000 Target.

DXY Update – Bullish Correction in PlayAt the beginning of the month, I mentioned that the USD Index (DXY) could start a corrective move to the upside, with the 100 level being the critical line in the sand.
Indeed, the index managed to break and hold above this psychological and technical level, currently trading around 100.70, well above the former resistance now turned support.
My bullish outlook remains intact, and I expect the upside continuation to target the 102 zone in the coming sessions.
Conclusion: For pairs like EURUSD and GBPUSD, rallies should be sold as long as this bullish momentum holds. 🚀

May 11
Week in review
Monday price was in consolidation, Tuesday Price lower to take sell stops creating the low and then started to seek higher prices into Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, while Friday retraced Thursday’s delivery. Price broke its range on Thursday for Friday to create the high.
Fridays Delivery
Price was in a premium in Asia Price expanded to take minor buy side. Price reversed to lower prices to noted inefficiencies to rebalance. Price lowered to the .618 to then retrace in NY and went into consolidation to close.
Week ahead
Price on the weekly is a discount
Price current range is a Premium
Previous session is delivering to a discount
Price is seeking higher prices to rebalance a W SIBI and a 4 hour FVG
I suspect that DXY could be shifting to a bull bias in the coming weeks. I note the event horizon at lower prices to keep watch for.
NO news Monday and Wednesday
I suspect for Price to enter Monday with a continuation seeking higher prices to rebalance the 4 hour FVG. Note the equal lows that could be a magnet.
Let Sundays delivery occur and plan from there.

Dollar Plunge To 97.921: Trump’s Tariff Tsunami Erodes DollarDollar Index fell to 97.921, its lowest since April 2025, as Trump’s aggressive tariffs on critical minerals and China trade retaliation spooked investors.
Analysts warn the dollar’s status as a reserve currency is under threat, with foreign holdings of U.S. assets declining sharply.
However in the short-term, dollar might see appreciation up into premium PD arrays, namely the weekly fair value gap outlined.
