GME I've seen several mentions about cash vs market cap that make GME appear cheap. Think of it this way: If your neighbor has a like new Dodge Charger Hell Cat sitting in the driveway that's worth $85 grand and he offers to sell it to you for $50 grand plus payoff. Are you going to jump on that immediately, or are you going to ask him how much the pay off is first? Of course you want to know the payoff before making a decision.Posts that are touting cash vs market cap is like buying the car without first asking what the payoff is, checking the CarFax for damage history, how much insurance is going to cost on the beast each month, the extra cost of 92 octane premium gas at each fill-up, etc. All the reasons the neighbor is looking to unload it in the first place.
GME I think pricing is locked this morning for the converts and any overage sold should be announced after market close (going on memory here). After the price is set then underwriters will cut the stock loose and begin closing their positions (created using phantom shares) and market will be free to price seek without interference. I forget the exact name of the reg, but this is legal and normal procedure under special SEC regulations that debt offerings are conducted under.
