EDITLooking so strong, a company with a non FDA approved, cure for childhood blindness. Finally breaking out of the 30.33 resistance. A beautiful W where I entered at 27.33 trend line support, with a price target reaching 49$ Good entry around 32.50-31.50
EDIT initiated with a small buyInitiated a small position and look for pullbacks to add.

EDIT - Bullish bounce off triple support, in a strong uptrendEDIT has formed a short-term, very steep rising channel, within a bigger, much more sustainable, multi-year rising channel. Call me crazy, but I think this one is going to do well... Right now, price is acting well at triple support: not just the aforementioned short-term rising channel, but also a former falling resistance, and the all-important 50 day MA (both in dark blue). If you switch the chart to daily candles, you'll see a long-legged morning star doji formed on friday at triple support, and today we're gapping up... If all this doesn't convince you to go long EDIT, I guess nothing will, so I rest my case.
Full disclosure: long EDIT at 1.6% of total assets. Itching to buy more, even if I should not concentrate too much on a small cap biotech stock with no earnings (yet). But technicals AND fundamentals are fantastic, so I may just grab a little more.
EDIT - EDITAS Genetics time to accumulate and play bounceHello all, Notice MACD, RSI and 50 day MA trends for EDIT. I am planning to accumulate calls this week and some last week to play the bounce signaled by RSI and MACD into the JPM healthcare conference on the 15th where these biotechs present promising results and play pop.
Plus biotech is a risky defensive bet - mutually exclusive of Iran - these biotechs are still getting bought out and FDA is approving new drugs like candy.

Early Warnings: using Trend Shift Indicator divergence.The attached chart has much of the explanation.
Here are the highlights:
TSI gives early sell warning via high values (near 170), relative highs, or in rare cases an "x" signal.
Divergence with price is also a key indicator of future action.
Examine the divergence illustrated during the price drop and the (still red) TSI values.

Cup & handle pattern?We saw this the other day in NTLA. Has the same pattern formed in EDIT? Thoughts?
Oversold conditions?Having a look at the trendlines gives us a perspective of where we are now. We just broke bottom trend line, but below that bottom trend line there are strong support levels which seem to hold. Earnings upcoming in 6 days and other sector catalysts like Intellia earnings tomorrow.
