It operates through the following segments: Retail, Wholesale, Wealth Management, International, Non-performing Assets, and Corporate Centre. The Retail segment includes all individuals, self-employed professionals, small, and very small companies operating in Greece. The Wholesale segment is invovled in all medium-sized and large companies, including shipping corporations and enterprises which cooperate with the Wholesale Banking and Investment Banking Business Areas. The Wealth Management segment offers wealth management services to all client segments through private banking units. The International segment focuses on products and services offered through the international network in Cyprus, Romania and United Kingdom. The Non-performing Assets segment consists of the management of non-performing assets in Alpha Bank Group, as well as any company established to manage these assets and related real estate. The Corporate Centre segment refers to activities under the management of the chief investment officer related to Alpha Bank Group’s liquidity, funding, capital, structural interest rate, and foreign exchange risks, as well as investments in non-commercial assets. The company was founded by Ioannis F. Kostopoulos in 1879 and is headquartered in Athens, Greece.
