Donald Trump was elected president, marking a remarkable comeback four years after being voted into the White House and bringing to the fore a new American leadership that is likely to test democratic institutions at home and relations abroad - as reported by Reuters Investors are betting that a Trump presidency could bring tax cuts. Indices rose to their highest levels and the US100 could do the same soon. If the price manages to rise above it's higher price level near 20759 then US100 should rise further as shown on the chart. ATH Resistance (21,250): If prices stabilize below this level, it signals a likely bearish trend. Demand Zone (20,906 - 20,781): This is the first support area where buyers may re-enter. If prices reach here and hold, it could signal consolidation or a potential bounce. FVG Zone (20,482 - 20,324): A further decline to this fair value gap would confirm a downtrend, indicating bearish pressure. Breaking this level would suggest a more substantial downturn. NASDAQ Extremely bullish for the next 30 days.Nasdaq (NDX) is extending a very aggressive post-election rally that is coming after a clear technical hold on the 1D MA50 (blue trend-line). This is just a short-term movement inside a (blue) Channel Up that emerged after the index rebounded on the 1D MA200 (orange trend-line), which in turn is the Bullish Leg of the 2-year Channel Up pattern. As you can see, the price action is so far very similar to the Channel's previous Bullish Leg that also started on a 1D MA200 hold (October 26 2023). Based on the 1D MACD's Bullish Cross and the 1D RSI bullish reversal, we are in symmetrical terms on a situation similar to January 23 2024, with the price above the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement level. Fed Cuts Rate by 0.25%; Stocks Reach HighsFed Cuts Rate by 0.25%; Stocks Reach Highs Yesterday, the Federal Reserve announced a unanimous decision to lower the interest rate from 4.75% to 4.50%, marking the second consecutive cut—a move in line with analyst expectations and forecasts. “This move will support further progress in controlling inflation as we aim for a more neutral stance over time,” said Fed Chair Jerome Powell. According to Bloomberg, this decision aligns with the Fed’s efforts to support robust U.S. economic growth, creating positive sentiment for stock indices as newly re-elected President Donald Trump is expected to introduce economic stimulus measures. However, could tensions arise between the new administration and the Fed? Trump has a record of publicly criticizing Powell and even considered dismissing him during his first term. At a press conference yesterday, Powell was asked if he would step down if requested by Trump, to which he replied decisively, “No.” He added that the removal or demotion of Fed board members, including himself, is “not legally permissible.” Powell emphasized that the U.S. election results would have "no effect" on the Fed’s decisions in the near term. For now, optimism prevails on U.S. stock markets. Analysis of the Nasdaq 100 index (US Tech 100 mini on FXOpen) shows that: → The price has reached a historic high, surpassing the round figure of 21,000 points and the previous peak set in July around 20,800. → It has moved above the upper boundary of the ascending channel (shown in blue), within which it had fluctuated following the early August sell-off. → The RSI indicator signals significant market overbought conditions. Given these factors, the market could be vulnerable to a correction after this recent rally. If a pullback occurs, it may indicate that market sentiment has already priced in the impact of the election outcome and the Fed rate cut. US100 Possible SellLooking for possible sell positions on US100 should it break below the recently created lower low (21012.5). Possible target zone is 20673.7. Reason for this idea, US indices have been at an ATH the last couple of weeks, the prices have been inflated way above their actual value. If ever they have to maintain that price, the chart has to go down a bit and try to regain some momentum to continue with the upward trajectory, but that should also be backed up by the top 100 companies stocks which is also based on their earnings. In simple terms. US100 can't continue going up if the stocks aren't going up as well.
