Sime Darby Bhd. is an investment holding company, which engages in the business of trading and healthcare. It operates through the following segments: Industrial, Motors, Healthcare, and Others. The Industrial segment includes selling, renting, and servicing equipment and engineering services. The Motors segment focuses on assembling and trading vehicles and providing after-sales services. The Healthcare segment is involved in investing in the Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care Group. The Others segment provides insurance broking and other general investments. The company was founded by Alexander Guthrie, Daniel Harrison, Smith Harrison, Joseph Crosfield, William Middleton Sime, Henry d'Esterre Darby, and Herbert Mitford Darby in 1910 and is headquartered in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
