Buy-write CIFR @2.99CIFR is borderline oversold. It was when I started placing the trade and it rose to just above it now. This trade is designed as a 2 day trade, but if it doesn't work out, it'll be oversold anyway so I'm fine. I bought the stock at 2.99 and wrote a 9/20 $3 call and got paid .10 ($10) for it. My plan is that I lock in a 3.3% gain in 2 days assuming the stock goes up and gets called away. If it doesn't, the call reduces my cost by that 3.3% and I can turn around and sell another weekly $3 call on it next week, assuming the stock doesn't TOTALLY tank. I'll keep doing that until it does get called or until it doesn't make sense to sell the calls and then I just ride it out like a normal oversold trade. Editorial note: for the 3459493th time I accidentally wrote overbought instead of oversold in the original version. This version has been corrected.

Always pay attention to significant Anchored VWAPSIt is always important to be aware of significant AVWAP'S when looking to take profit on a trade, or establish a new position in a stock. Bitcoin mining stocks have been pretty a hot sector this year and are expected to perform very well throughout 2025 as well. However, the anchored VWAP (red) form the YTD high on July 17, 2024 acted as a textbook area of interest commonly taught by Brian Shannon. If you were long NASDAQ:CIFR , the AVWAP from the YTD High was a great place to lock in some profits. Should the stock get through this level, preferably after some consolidation, this could be a great place for a new purchase. Especially considering Bitcoin is expected to outperform from now through the end of 2025.

5x on CIPHER - mining - I bought this last week Tri big move up Bullish case, its being bid and going up Huge candle up move today I got in last week as BTC tri has caused the alts to form Asc Tria all over the place. Which implies BTC will move up and thus the BTC miners will move up strongly too. If the height of the triangle is the target, then its a big move coming if not the full height of the triangle then its still a very good move. Cipher BTC mining - Major upside potentialCIPHER MINING (CIFR) $CIPR - Inverse Head and Shoulders breakout & retest? - Above 200 day SMA with turn up - OBV increasing - On daily chart we are above the Point of Control which aligns which closely with purple horizontal - We could see a retest of this line so I would be DCA'ing from here in dribbles especially after a big move like this weeks 25% +, regardless I want exposure so ill dip my beak here. In terms of managing this trade the chart really shows you everything. This is a long term trade with a good risk return ratio. Align the trade with your own risk tolerance and remember to always be patient and keep an allocation aside in case of a lower price entry opportunity. Stop loss is outlined on the chart and should be honored. We can always re-enter the trade at a later date having reviewed the situation. Setting a stop under the 200 day SMA could be used as a trailing type of stop also. Fundamentals (for fun and stamping the stock into our mind): - CIPHER appears to be half the size of Marathon Digital Holdings (MARA) which is a well known industry large player - Cipher have 59,000 mining rigs deployed (MARA by comparison have 105,200 rigs) - Cipher mined 493 bitcoin in the month of May (MARA by comparison mined 825 in March 2023) - CIPHER announced record production during the month of May 2023. It appears things are just heating up.
