6/3/24 - $gtlb - small long. setup + GT's + comps good. val rich6/3/24 - vrockstar - NASDAQ:GTLB - let's be clear 9x sales isn't cheap. but 35=40% sales growth on inflecting opex leverage looks very attractive to me. stock has defn seen the pullback in the last few days as a result of B2B getting factor bodyslammed. the low key way to play this is to buy a pullback (mind the gap at $36 which is defn in play given what we've seen across the space this earnings season). however, what keeps me wanting to go long this into the print is the google trends look bang'in and again, the biz ops/ fundamentals are good. i don't love the stock comp component - but that's par for the course for these sub-scale (sub i mean sub 20-50 bn) co's. trends.google.com these sort of trends are what kept me w/ my smallish NASDAQ:ZS into print. look at NYSE:GDDY , NASDAQ:WIX and recently Ssqsp got taken private too. so while it's a slightly diff "service", there's firepower from these likes to M&A it too. anyone have a more nuanced opinion?

For me, GTLB is doing wyckoff accumulation and I've marked the zone I'm waiting for the price to reach so I can buy. Hopefully it delays there 1 or 2 months so I can get more capital to invest. Gitlab ~ An Early Investment Re-LoadedFundamentals: The Google-Gitlab partnership improved the fundamentals of this company. Earnings and sales are growing. This stock IPOed two years ago. A growing amount of funds are accumulating this stock. Forecasted earnings were lowered for 2025, but still positive. I cannot gauge the EPS growth yet because the stock is still too new. However, A quality funds are still piling in gradually. ROE is at 5%. The last time I posted about GTLB, it has a negative cashflow. The recent earnings reported a positive cashflow for the first time. Last year they did a "disaster" guidance; however, 2023 was a success for the company. The According to a commentator on Seeking Alpha, the only reason why it fell was "the lower-than-expected guidance had a negative impact on the share price. However, GitLab has a history of beating estimates. It has done so on EPS and revenue estimates the last 8 times." "....But, depending on how the stock reacts in the coming days, there may be attractive entry opportunities. If the share price continues to fall, we could be looking at an attractive price for a wonderful company." So based on the chart and the speculation about the company's strength, I think that this is a pullback worth buying. Technicals: Weekly: The daily gap down (weekly pullback) this week was probably a result of the lowered forecast for 2025. But this pullback is what I was waiting for to possibly add to GTLB. ADX is trending. Pullback into the guppy wave 38%/50%-61.8% Fib confluence of support Rising TL The price fell below the kijun, but there is lots of horizontal support in confluence with multiple fibs. Ichimoku-MACD is up above the water line for the first time in the history of this stock. Stage 3 Ichimoku trend Daily: exDiv1 and extremes indicator Waiting for a Green Day Daily chart could turn into a fake bear crown. The weekly chart would not confirm a daily bear crown. Comment: This is a pullback in the start of GTLB's bull market. This pullback presents a buying opportunity. Anything between 40 - 60 is a favorable discount, a bargain. If the trend holds, then I will aim for 100 and 137 as a target by the end of 2024.

GTLB a software company dives on an earnings beat LONGGTLB did a deep dive shaving 20% off its market cap after the earnings report. I see this big dip as a buying opportunity for a software company stock at a significant discount more or less ignoring the adverse forward guidance as fluff or purposeful misleading of investors and traders to create a bit of a bear trap from which to launch a squeeze to propel the price action. More details on the chart. I will go long here and expect to gain 10-15% with a little patience. The general market downturn helped GTLB fall and then reversal of the general market will give tailwind to the return trip.
