$BB Blackberry Long to 21 short term, Moon Long-TermMy Jan. 18 play below for this ticker yielded 5 points of gains, but after some DD, I am now bullish long term on this company. Very surprised by what they offer now. This is now a fundamentals play.
- Very good technology, friends have and do work there and they have good things to say.
- Canada is a growing tech hub, trying to stop the brain drain to the US, BB growth will be fueled by Canadian talent who do not wish to emigrate.
- Transformation to a software company
Key products:
- QNX: embedded OS with a security focus
- IVY: cloud platform for vehicles (think EV and space market)
- AtHoc and SecuSUITE: secure communication system. Governments are still using Zoom and Teams, we need better
I think a pullback is inevitable because of the exuberance of this rally, but I don't mind adding at these prices. 7B Mcap only in this market, when it can grow to a 50B unicorn.
Historic Blackberry Long Around the CornerWith Blackberry's shift from phones into other areas such as cloud communications there's a lot more potential for upside. The company has showed resilience but price is still in a dangerous spot, with hype driving up the market we still need to clear the $20-30 range to be sure this is a new bull trend. You can see that moves like this have rejected and gone back down into accumulation many times. The green Ichimoku cloud starting to form is also a positive sign that will add onto the case for a strong bull trend in coming years. Once the range breaks my initial target is the $75 level.
BlackBerry still a Buy?On Dec. 1, Blackberry announced it had partnered with Amazon Web Services to develop and bring to market BlackBerry's Intelligent Vehicle Data Platform, IVY. Automakers will be able to use the software for the smart and autonomous electric vehicles being developed.
On Oct. 16, Blackberry announced it was partnering with Zoom. Zoom will be using Blackberry’s Blackberry Dynamics cybersecurity software in its mobile platform to protect companies from cyberattacks and data breaches. Blackberry Dynamics software also provides secure video conferencing, which Blackberry says will become more necessary as companies move away from in-person meetings.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Blackberry had sold 90 patents to Chinese telecommunications company Huawei. (Source: benzinga.com)

BB is mid Squeeze, How Much More Juice Does It Have?Retail hype play, AMZN partnership details still unknown though. One thing we do know is that squeeze's are in and BB is next one getting social media fomo/hype. Commons are good mid term, Options are a big risk/reward type move. Careful how you play this one but BB seems like a long term commons hold once AMZN deal details known.
BB Daily with StochRSI MACD SqueezePlaying hype on this. As much as I would love to see Blackberry make a comeback, I don't know if I see it happening. And I am a HUGE fan of the blackberry lineup but to play catchup at this point seems like an impossible hill to climb.
Here is what we are dealing with:
200MA curling every so slightly
StochRSI flat but if you look at just the RSI factor it is WAY over extended
MACD is sky high and not quite turning yet
Squeeze indicator shows a ton of momentum also
How to play:
I am going CALLS on this but I am watching volume. If we still see this as a hype play it's possible this goes on a bit of a run. It's also possible that we can't get the push initially that is needed and $AMC gets all the attention.
Great volume the last 6 days and that candle we ended with on Friday is HUGE and a great positive for the week.

$BBBlackBerry (NYSE:BB) continues to perform incredibly well despite some market uncertainty. I'm still holding my long-term investment in the company. Discipline, knowledge and focus never hurt anyone. Looking for a possible run to $20.....When you see volume creeping in and a slow steady price rise the alarms should start to sound.
BB 14 had doubled, NOW WHAT? Stay with the Horse!Stock overbought on RSI but other momentum indicators are still positive.
Low priced stock like BB, after waking up from a sustained coma, tends to run much higher than expected move (currently outside of 3ATR).
It's a real company in a market where fake companies can have billions of market cap, so why not Blackberry which has a long history telecom platform and data security technology that were so good it was used by all the leaders of the world.
CEO John Chen is not going to get paid big until stock above US 16 and 20. He is methodically working on it.
Another one also could run is Nokia NOK at $4.2. A real co with near 30% market share for 5G. I could not believe how cheap it is, 1x sales! in this 100x sales market for many companies with no cash flow or profit.
Facebook Patent Lawsuit Settlement - Bullish technicalsOn January 15, 2021, "BlackBerry Ltd. said it's settled a dispute with Facebook Inc. over patent royalties for terms that weren't disclosed." We don't know how much money they are receiving from Facebook, but Blackberry has also announced that they are pivoting their business operations to that of EVs and Artificial Intelligence after having sold off its mobile line. This could be a very interesting setup from a fundamental perspective and may be the beginnings of a turnaround in the company. The recent technicals have been indicating massive buying volume. Please note the bullish engulfing candle from yesterday's session on Friday. If you zoom out on the weekly chart, $15 is a critical resistance area which upon broken, can take the share price to the $18-20 area. This is a medium risk high reward set up in our opinion. LONG.
