Risky long trade on Analysts upgrade. In a report issued on September 13, Lee Krowl from B.Riley FBR maintained a Buy rating on Cars.com, Inc., with a price target of $18. The company’s shares closed last Monday at $10.94, close to its 52-week low of $8.23.
Krowl said:
“We believe the good initial uptake of the DI product across CARS’ existing customer base since the acquisition in 2018, coupled with the enhanced product offerings such as Social and Conversations, positions DI well relative to the three other approved site vendors. In terms of implications, we note that given the sales process of about 4-6 months for the DI product, revenue contribution is likely to be modest in 2019, and more of a driver in 2020.”
According to TipRanks.com, Krowl is a 5-star analyst with an average return of 37.7% and a 77.3% success rate. Krowl covers the Technology sector, focusing on stocks such as Digital Turbine Inc, Limelight Networks, and Rubicon Project.

COMPANY PROFILE

CARS is Going Down ! CARS has volume and its good negative earnings play. Good for a trade, the Daily chart as you can see is extremely weak, it has gone below the all time lows of around 18. Its currently trading at around 12 and has a decent premarket volume, based on the daily chart I would like to go Short on it once it gives a pullback opportunity to get an entry. The overall market is also showing weakness after continued tension between the U.S and China which may add momentum to a downward spiral.
$CARS Positive trading in CARS, Has it found a bottom? Despite posting a loss in the quarter the stock has traded very well today on what has been a difficult session. They main loss was attributed to a decline in dealerships but the company is very upbeat about the drastically improved brand awareness. We think there is a good case for taking a long position above $22.50
Cars.com Inc. (CARS) on Friday reported a first-quarter loss of $9 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The online automotive marketplace posted revenue of $154.2 million in the period, which topped Street forecasts, analysts expected $152.4 million.
CARS Long Swing Trade PredictionsIt currently looks like CARS is going to continue its positive momentum. Stochastic shows the security is extremely oversold and continues to achieve higher prices thanks to the trend indicated by the Aroon indicator signalling a continuing trend. Profit target is set for as close to $27 as possible, but if the tides turn, I'll still be in a position to close the position with minimal loss. S/L $26
Bullish setup with limited risk and high potential!NYSE:CARS is showing a lot of strength. If it tests the resistance, pulls back and goes back up, just like drawn on the chart, then buy as a swing trade above 25.50, with a stop at 24.90; however, if the stock gaps up at the open or breaks through the resistance without any pullback, then I wouldn't chase it.
