Finvolution...weekly flag and a monthly compressionNYSE:FINV is setting up on the weekly chart, forming a flag
On the monthly chart you can see a descending trendline that has been tested and looks to be broken on the daily, if broken on the weekly & monthly can be significant
Stop loss choices are 6.6 (9EMA weekly) or 6.2 (21 EMA weekly)
Take profit choices are 7.3 (has been resistance twice before) 8.0 (psychological level)
Long swingI'm deploying a multi-timeframe approach here, focusing on a swing trade setup that aligns with both trend and momentum indicators. Here's the core of the strategy:
Entry Criteria: I look to enter on a break above a recent higher high combined with a flat to rising 5-day moving average. Additionally, I’m observing the anchored VWAP from the most recent high (to the left on the chart); it should ideally be flat or rising to confirm sustained interest.
Volume and Price Requirements: Only trading stocks with at least 300,000 shares in daily volume and a price above $3, ensuring liquidity and relevance for momentum.
Trend Confirmation: On the daily timeframe, the stock must be making higher highs and fall within an early Stage 2 uptrend based on Stage Analysis, indicating the start of an uptrend.
Stop Loss: My stop is set just below a recent significant low (higher low) on the 30-minute chart to keep risk in check. If this low is penetrated before entry, I cancel the trade to avoid premature breakdowns.

FINV - displaying strong support at 5.78 (Gap level)FINV retraced about 50% from it's major swing up before finding support around the 50% fib retracement level. There is also a horizontal support zone there 5.78 - 6.24, created from horizontal resistance turned support (apparent on wkly chart) and a large Gap up on 11 March (that is not being filled during this recent plunge)
Note that as a $6+ stock, it is a speculative play. I am interested to stake between 6.50 to 6.85) with a stop loss at 5.75. Let's see how it turns out.

I’ve been very skeptical to go into a Chinese stock but they have put a lot of effort in putting their information out there.
Leadership shows connections with Microsoft and other US Companies. CEO obtained a Graduate Degree from VMI and was Senior Director at Capital One
They have a full earnings presentation. They have technologies to handle credit risk assessment, fraud detection, big data collection, and AI. It seems as though the technology is pretty robust and clients are able to get a loan decision immediately while the algorithm keeps the risk very low for the company.

FinVolution offers strong potentialI recently added FinVolution NYSE:FINV to my portfolio.
I wish I discovered this stock earlier, because in my opinion this stock has huge price potential. It is currently my largest holding in my portfolio.
The company is a Chinese fintech company with a historical revenue CAGR of around 20%.
The current P/E ratio is around 8/9, which makes this stock a bargain given it's expected revenue/earnings growth.
