another Q from the sidelines 4 me
- in "theory" these guys can do >$300 mm of FCF on EV of mid 3's billion which is "great" yield.
- But... and probably with two T's...
- The market is simply having a tough time buying growth sub 10%, nevermind mid singles, and especially declining growth.
- While a quarter can change a lot, esp wrt guidance/ outlook etc. and that's an important caveat, in a week like this one where we have a 4-year catalyst which will probably create some wild waves, this stonk simply isn't a good R/R, layup or obvious to me (even the obvious plays in my portfolio aren't obvious ST!!)
- so i bid you good luck if you own this thing. i struggle to understand if i'd even buy a dip on a miss (probably not), and we've seen stuff that misses getting sent to Hades in a Burkin
- also the perma-bid from last quarter's big drop in a straightline fashion is hellasketch. this tells me a. someone knows it's worth buying (and i can't see this ^ per the above comments), or b. there's some weird MM stuff going on to find bids before they send it... again... lower. i don't want to guess. so i just watch.

5/6/24 - $tdc - want to own but only playing a dip ex post5/6/24 - vrockstar - like the narrative here all around (ai-support) but w/ AMD's comments, rates holding back b2b spending... i could see more risk to longs here vs. shorts. so while i think the right way to look at this is '25 EPS, any re-rate to '24 here would pull that $2.7/shr down to perhaps 2.5$ and that's about 12-15% annualized cagr depending on how bearish/ bullish you might be. if that's also the case the multiple is probably closer to 15x than 20x on the curr year #. but let's say 15x on the 2.5$/shr for '25 EPS... which is where the stock trades today. the conclusion is... i'd be dip buying anything > 10% move lower. targeting the 33-34$ region where i'd start to get to about half a single-name size (on my book risk metrics) and anything sub $30 i think you can buy hard w/ confidence of a retrace outside a wild miss to growth/ expectations/ speech.

TERADATA CORPORATION Strategy DailyHey traders, TERADATA CORPORATION is in a bullish push with low traded buy volume and a hammer candle shape. The TIMEFRAME M1 makes us notice a dash with a low volume of purchase passed it goes towards the VWAP to test it which it leaves to break in force. And reach the top of a stabilization zone for a test of it, great propability of breaking out the price. Then then the stabilization zone to go over a second and land on the top that comes (View of TIMEFRAME H4). Before breakout then excess of TIMEFRAME H1 Little buying power to test the middle half of the ANDREWS PICHTFORK range.

TDCI expect TDC to pop on earnings results (ER) tomorrow.
Guidance for the current quarter is lower because of contracts put on hold during the COVID peak.
Since their previous ER, they have a new CEO, with a lot of shares being issued around the 20.5 level.
I expect a lot of their customers to need analytics in order to understanding the changing reality due to the pandemic.
My buy target is right here. Sell target is 24.7
If they miss on earnings and refuse to give guidance, I expect the stock will retest the low, 17.6.
Technology stocks for 2018 #22 (TDC)Constantly I repeat that I not publish a stock symbol twice, but the method that I use for pick stocks is always the same because
I not flip from one method to another, trying to find the Holy Grail.
Because I already took my years of deliberate practice and did not publish during that time. Only practice and training.
In other words, if the reader looks at my first published idea, you can see that the template is always the same, and my set-up too,
that I always use the same (Red Line), to refer resistance levels and that I use (Red Arrows) to focus the reader's attention on key points of chart,
that gives me congruence and credibility, even the comments are always the same (Resistance becomes Support)
Imagine, if I post an idea and I use the MACD with Bollinger Bands, and the next day I post the same symbol but using an RSI with Ichimoku Clouds,
that means that I'm testing here and there and I still do not have confidence. (There is no congruence)
I write this today, thinking about the person who will read it in the future, and who can also check how many of my ideas worked
