V Visa posted a 9% year-over-year revenue increase in Q2 FY25, reaching $9.6 billion—$50 million above expectations. Non-GAAP EPS came in at $2.76, topping forecasts by $0.08, fueled by steady consumer spending. The company’s global card base grew 7% to 4.8 billion. Cross-border transaction volume rose 13%, processed transactions climbed 9%, and total payment volume hit $3.94 trillion, up 8%. Visa also announced a new $30 billion share buyback program.
Despite economic uncertainty and a seasonal slowdown following strong Q1 holiday activity, Visa maintained its full-year FY25 guidance, expecting low double-digit revenue and low-teens EPS growth. CEO Ryan McInerney highlighted broad-based strength, noting a rebound in U.S. spending in March and April. Solid international growth and momentum in Visa’s services segment continue to support long-term performance despite macro headwinds.
V I expect this to do really well by June. target 390. people still need to put food on the table, and with groceries so high people will take out more credit to make sure their family doesn't go hungry
IXIC futures opened down about 1% Trump doesn't rule out a recession amid trade tariffs. Get ready for taking more paper losses , clsoing out your paper losses and just taking the actual loss, or look for companies that are still relatively "cheap" and worth buying now. We're going to lose another 2-5% this week is my guess. Amongst all the losers there are some really good companies at great prices. OKTA is one. V is another great dividend paying stock I would buy and hold it add to. Some say it's too early to sell the leisure and cruise co.paniea but I don't think it's too early to get out now. Norwegian (NCLH) , Royal (RCL) is already down a big chunk, and down 15% just in the last week. Out of the cruise lines this is the best, doesn't mean I'd buy it at anything over $150. Carnival (CCL) doesn't look all that great either. The cruise lines will be cheaper in the future. Don't buy now. Airlines are also something to look at. Only a few Inwoudlmr actually buy today. Good luck all!! We need it!
