In this analysis I will be focusing on the trend of Xpeng. Xpeng has increased its stock value by far mora than 200% - emphasizing a clear hype in the stock. Long XPeng again towards 60NYSE:XPEV Tesla jumped $60 after news that it will join S&P500 This caused a huge momentum for the Chinese EV companies, pushing away bearish calls. I was waiting on the double bottom back at $38 but this would not be happening. Conditions will be pushed back to overbought later today and the day after following NIO's earnings. I regretted taking profit early but I entered at $46, a bit high but it is still good. Since I entered on the high, I will be trailing stop loss once it hits $50. Notice that more people are valuing XPeng more, with price neck-to-neck with NIO. This is faster than expected, but as I said before. XPeng will triumph over NIO, mainly due to the economies of scale from automatic manufacturing. All in all, Chinese EV is definitely an industry not to miss out.

XPEV 30% breakout!XPEV broke out today, hitting $45 at a 32% breakout. We have been watching this stock since it was around $17, buying in at $19. There will be a profit taking coming up, and if you are not in this stock yet, there is a GAP trade to play that may work out for you. $33.45 was where the stock closed, before opening well above the closing price, creating a big gap. Because the stock is in price discovery, it will be very volatile, and should be able to return to gap. However, IPOs are unpredictable at best, and we can never be too sure. Wait for reversal to play out, then see if gap trade is still tangible.

Results: Xpeng lost an adjusted 32 cents per ADS. Revenue came in at $293.1 million, up 342.5% in local currency terms. Gross margin was 4.6% vs. -10.1% a year earlier. Vehicle deliveries, already reported, hit 8,578 in the September-ending quarter, up 266% vs. a year earlier and 166% vs. Q2 2020. Golden Opportunity End of October Missed, Resistance BreakoutI missed a golden opportunity for the end of October for a resistance wedge breakout. This was after my September bearishness, and the case for September was there. That said, it looks like a continuation of a bullish pickup and support pattern have been happening. The last few weeks, I have been doing the occasional watching from the sidelines and am seeing sentiment pickup especially given earnings.
