Gold to silver ratio in roman empire ratio at 12:1 and U.S. government was fixed the ratio at 15:1 with the Coinage Act of 1792.

Now the current Gold to silver ratio is 79:1, silver is one of the most undervalued asset in the world before we hit 15:1 ratio again.
