About Russia Index


The MOEX Russia Index is a major stock index that tracks the performance of the top 50 Moscow Stock Exchange's companies by market cap and liquidity. Within the index there are ten sectors of the Russian economy, including Banking, Oil and Gas production, and others. The MOEX Index is a capitalization-weighted composite index, launched in 1997 with a base value of 100. It serves as a compass for investors interested in the Russian stock market.
