OPEC+ will consider extending its super-large production increase plan at its meeting next month, with Saudi Arabia, the group's leader, leading efforts to regain market share. The eight major OPEC+ members have increased production by 411,000 barrels per day per month in the past three months. Several delegates said the countries are ready to consider another increase in August when they meet on July 6. Despite weak demand and ample supply, Saudi Arabia still guided OPEC+ to accelerate its planned production recovery, an unexpected reversal that caused oil prices to briefly fall to a four-year low in April.
