This ETF deviates from traditional ETFs in its ability to sell securities short, borrow cash, and the increased use of derivatives to pursue its investment strategy. As such, during certain market conditions, this may accelerate the pace at which an investment may decrease in value. The fund invests in Canadian companies chosen from industries fund management believes to offer the best opportunity for return. Companies are selected based on an assessment of management ability, growth strategies and those perceived to have a distinct competitive advantage. Management also looks for event-driven trading opportunities to augment fund returns.
