The fund is a passively managed fund that tracks an index of CAD-denominated fixed income securities. The index includes securities issued by both government and corporate issuers. Most securities in the index are from issuers domiciled in Canada, but may also include firms outside of Canada are eligible as long as they are issued in Canadian dollars and meet the other index requirements. To be included, securities must be rated investment grade and have a minimum of 24 months to final maturity. The index is rebalanced on a monthly basis and weights its constituent securities by market value.
