The actively managed fund specifically holds companies engaged in: transport (toll roads, airports, seaports, and rail), energy (oil pipelines, gas and electricity transmission, distribution, and generation), water (distribution and treatment) and communications (broadcast, satellite, and cable). Constituents are selected using a proprietary top-down macro analysis with a fundamental overlay that gives emphasis on quality, growth, and valuation. In order to maintain its global scope, the fund’s investments to Canadian securities are limited to 20% of the portfolio. In addition, 10% of the fund’s assets may be invested in securities of other funds, including those that are internally managed. The fund may also use derivatives to generate income or hedge exposure.
