The fund seeks long-term total return from an actively managed portfolio that holds Canadian real estate investment trusts (REITs), real estate operating companies (REOCs) and other corporations that provide real estate-related services which may include residential and commercial real estate sub-industries. Although the fund primarily focuses on domestic real estate securities, it may also have a foreign exposure for up to 30% of its net assets. The fund adviser (at its discretion) then uses currency forward contracts to hedge all or a portion of its non-CAD exposure for Canadian investors. Prior to April 22, 2021, the fund was named as CI First Asset Canadian REIT ETF.
