The index includes TSX-listed companies classified under three categories: Utilities, Pipelines, and Telecommunications. Eligible stocks must meet minimum liquidity and market-cap requirements and should have at least a 3% 12-month forward dividend yield. Stocks are ranked within each category by market capitalization. The highest-ranking securities are selected for inclusion to form a concentrated portfolio of 12 stocks, with half taken from the Utilities category. The resulting portfolio is equally weighted and rebalances on a semi-annual basis.
