The close of September should mark a confirmed breakout, of Warren Buffet's famous holding company, against Gold on a quarterly basis.
More evidence of a Melt Up in paper assets? And the continuation of the Bull market in the "roaring 20's"
If this is a continuation structure the amplitude suggests that one Berkshire Share, could be converted into well over 530 ounces of Gold.
At current prices that would equate to over a million dollars per share!
Berkshire - another run up and then sidewaysLooking at the two year chart, BRKB looks like it's going to make another run up and then trade sideways for quite some time. Nice break on the trend line after a five month sideways (somewhat downward) movement.
I am curious how much it runs up. I feel like Berkshire has gotten no credit lately, especially for their stock portfolio. I understand you pay for a premium for Berkshire but two of their biggest holdings, Apple and Bank of America, have had nice runs lately and Berkshire has not moved.
Buying calls with this momentum. Will sell calls if/when this sideway run starts. Hopefully not anytime soon :)

Unfortunately for them, gasses are not very dense. They are light and weak.
Apple is the prime example of this important paradigm change.
Until ~2005 Apple tried to strengthen and it magnificently did. It reached the optimal point in its cycle. It began as cold hard ice which is hard to move and turned into dense water. In the last 20 years Apple (and many others) turned into hot liquids that have the risk of evaporation into gas.
Now these hot markets are reaching the end of their cycle...
Gases reach the upper levels of the atmosphere. There they can only turn into rain, or escape into space. Either one of them is bad for markets.
The birthplace of bull markets are rivers lakes and oceans. The end of their life is up in the skies. Market Cycles are just like Water Cycles. They cannot escape the cycle.
Hot markets can only get colder. Remember, space is very very cold and can easily turn growing gasses into falling rain. Investors are now beginning to fear.
And so, they fly to safety. One of these safe havens is Gold, which has performed incredibly these past few months. Inside the equity market however, there are stocks that begin to exhibit incredible signs of resilience (coldness) like BRK.A
Has Berkshire reached the "island of stability"?
If we plot a volume-weighted candle chart, we realize that Berkshire Hathaway has created a massive plateau. A lake in the mountains. A place for investors to swim into.
With ongoing worldwide conflict, investments like these will definitely pull buyers towards them.
Apple is not the only weak. It is a mere example of the many "bubbling" companies that face issues.
Their growth was an example of easy money loose monetary policies. With high yield rates the survival of these bull markets is not guaranteed.
On the other hand Berkshire is not the only one that shows strength.
Companies like Exxon Mobil, an energy company, cannot be easily ignored.
Now compare this massive brick of volume to the following chart:

A solid investment needs ample liquidity and warm water.
A long-term investor may seek heavy icebergs, which may take years to melt.

BRK.B "always bearish" Based on a bull baer power indicator of "push/pull" type; after I edited the dimensions of the indicator for volume instead of moving average I found BRK.B new to always be Bearish. Unlike BRK.B NEW, the BTC indicator had bearishness many years ago and since is Bullish. Too bad I can't overlay to different charts to show each individual indicator representing each in the same image; if only. It appears people are always trying to defeat Berkshire Hathaway with volume. Unless the edits I made to the indicator represent nothing. Sometimes a nothing indicator an imagined concept reveals as much information as if it was real.

The volatility of Bitcoin is hellish compared to so many years of BRK.B succeeding including stock splits to keep the price down. If marginal shares were available to all people where a person could invest any amount of money they wished into the stock market perhaps more people would have become interested in stock trading before cryptocurrency succeeded. Cryptocurrency affords anyone to invest for any amount of money on any trade of cryptocurrency regardless of the price per share cost, unlike stock market. I know that marginal shares became a thing on Robinhood a couple years back. I am unaware of the progressive push by Robinhood and how their work influences other stock trading companies to improve their business model to appeal to a younger audience. Ironically, there is no way to put "BRK.B" into a tag. There is an understatement of percentage earned here as seen on the BRK.B chart because it doesn't account for all the stock splits over the years. One would have to create a modified chart to have a way to compare stocks that split versus cryptocurrency that does not, kind of like the, 'adjust for inflation' thing people always say and do.

Following the meeting, it was revealed that Berkshire Hathaway's cash reserves are at record levels and continuing to grow, reflecting the challenge of finding stocks for the value investing strategy that has defined billionaire Warren Buffett's success.
Cash, cash equivalents, and short-term Treasury bills for Buffett's group totaled $189 billion at the end of March, up 13% from the end of 2023. "It is fair to assume that by the end of this quarter they will probably be around $200 billion," Buffett said.
According to the legendary investor:
Berkshire sold about 13% of its Apple shares;
reduced its stake in Chevron by approximately 2%;
Coca-Cola and American Express are "wonderful companies";
the Indian stock market may present "untapped opportunities";
"We only pick those areas that we like."

the price is forming an ascending channel (shown in blue);
after forming a historical high (A), the price showed a sharp decline – a bearish sign;
attempts to surpass this high were unsuccessful, with peak B ending at a lower level – confirming supply-side activity at price levels around $420 per share of BRK.B;
bulls have the opportunity to bounce off the channel's median line to demonstrate their determination – aided by psychological support around $400 per share.
However, with each candle on the price chart of BRK.B, a descending channel (shown in red) becomes clearer – indicating a correction within the current upward trend and suggesting potential price decline of BRK.B towards the channel's lower boundary.
According to TipRanks, the average price target for BRK.B is $443 over the next 12 months.

Berkshire Hathaway's Q1 Operating Earnings Jumped 39% Berkshire Hathaway's ( LSE:BRK ) Q1 operating earnings rose 39% to $11.22 billion, driven by robust insurance and investment income. The Omaha-based company reported a 39% increase from $8.065 billion in the year-ago quarter. At the end of the quarter, approximately 75% of the aggregate fair value was concentrated in five companies.
In Q1 net earnings, investment losses totaled approximately $9.7 billion, while gains amounted to around $23.4 billion in the same period of 2023. These gains and losses were primarily due to changes in unrealized gains in equity security investments. After-tax realized gains from investment sales were $11.2 billion in the quarter under review, compared with $1.7 billion in the year-ago period.
Net earnings attributable to Berkshire ( LSE:BRK ) shareholders decreased to $12.702 billion from $35.504 billion a year ago. Insurance underwriting generated earnings of $2.59 billion versus $911 million year over year. Earnings from insurance-investment income totaled $2.598 billion compared to $1.969 billion in the year-ago period.
Berkshire Hathaway ( LSE:BRK ) Energy Company generated first-quarter earnings of $717 million, higher than $416 million a year ago. Other controlled businesses earnings in the first quarter totaled $3.088 billion, higher than the $3.065 billion in the first quarter of 2023.
Warren Buffett, known as the "Oracle of Omaha," has a real-time net worth of $131.7 billion. BRK/B shares closed higher by 0.07% to $400.87 on Friday, with shares up by 0.26% after hours.
$BRK looking for a healthy correction?Price got heavily rejected twice at around 422 mark, with lower highs and lower lows being printed on the weekly chart. On a higher timeframe, the price has bounced again from an upper resistance. Not any meaningful bearish divergences aside a soft triple bearish divergence on the monthly chart.
In the scenario of a pullback, price could bounce from the 370 mark, where several important support levels are present: fibonacci level 0.618 of the pullback, trendline support, EMA 20 in monthly, volume/demand zone and previous resistance mark 360, which needs to be tested.
