$DLTR offering another chance before heading higher?Notes: * I last spoke about this on July 6th, 2022 as it was coming up off of its 50 day line. * Since then it has consolidated with lower than average volume (building a handle) and now it seems like it's ready to push higher as volume's coming in. * It also printed a Pocket Pivot in the previous session indicating that it may be ready to go higher. * Everything else is still the same as before. Disclosure: I do have a position in this and am looking to add to it. Technicals: Sector: Consumer Defensive - Discount Stores Relative Strength vs. Sector: 1.33 Relative Strength vs. SP500: 1.17 U/D Ratio: 1.24 Base Depth: 36.34% Distance from breakout buy point: -3.21% Volume 24.54% above its 15 day avg. Trade Idea: * You can enter now as volume's coming in * If you want a better entry you can look for one around 166.1 as that seems like a pivotal area * This stock usually has local tops when the price closes around 15.72% above its 50 EMA * Consider selling into strength if the price closes 15.52% to 15.92% (or higher) above its 50 EMA * The last closing price is 6.51% away from its 50 EMA Longby HaseebKhan_90221

Dollar Tree Remains Tight as the Market TanksThe broader market has been super volatile lately, which makes the tranquil behavior of one retailer interesting: Dollar Tree. Notice how the discounter plunged on May 18 after Target’s poor quarterly results. Also notice how quickly it rebounded after its own quarterly numbers handily beat estimates on May 26. The stock has barely moved since then – despite the S&P 500 diving to a new 18-month low. That kind of tight price action may be consistent with investors building longer-term positions. Next, the June 17 candle tested but closed above the November high. Has old resistance become new support? Third, May’s low occurred at the 200-day simple moving average (SMA). The current consolidation is taking place along the 100-day simple moving average (SMA) while the 50-day SMA squeezes down from above. A break above it could make traders think its trend is turning positive again. They may also watch the trendline as potential resistance. Finally, DLTR just completed a bullish inside week. That may suggest bulls are starting to take control. TradeStation has, for decades, advanced the trading industry, providing access to stocks, options, futures and cryptocurrencies. The S&P 500 Is Down. Dollar Tree Isn’tAt times of broad market weakness like the present, it can be interesting to find stocks unscathed by the selling. Dollar Tree appears to be in that camp. The discount retailer has remained above its 100-day simple moving average (SMA) during the entire downturn of 2022. This stands in sharp contrast with the S&P 500, Nasdaq-100 and Dow Jones Industrial Average, which are mired below their 200-day SMAs. Second, Bollinger Band Width has been slowly expanding after squeezing into a tight range. That may suggest prices are starting to move again. Third, notice that the expansion is occurring near the late 2021 highs. In fact, DLTR achieved and record closing high on Monday. Finally, MACD has been gradually working upward since the beginning of February. This comes against a backdrop of improving fundamentals as management raises prices and activist investors successfully achieve board changes. DLTR - Dollar Tree, Inc.Bought position as the stock came thru the high-volume pivot from Dec 10. The stock has been one of the strongest in the market, gapping up and out of a very long-term base on an analyst upgrade in November and having a very strong day on earnings. Since earnings, it has digested its move very orderly and with very low volatility. It looks like it may be ready to attempt another leg higher, but since this name does not have the strong earnings numbers I usually look for, I will be aggressive with profit taking.Longby apaqu0
Stocks To Watch This WeekThe Market's longer term uptrend still intact and things look cautiously optimistic. These names have shown good relative strength and accumulation volume and most are in the growth sector. This may give good risk/reward entries on some of the best names. Some of these charts still need to confirm their price action. This video is my watchlist. Most of these names are at or near all time highs or multi year highs. There are 18 total stocks on this list Many of these have IPO'd in the last few years and still have a growth story ahead of them. Know your time frame and risk tolerance. Know your earnings dates! I go through these quickly so grab a pencil and paper and jot down the names that look interesting to you and then make the trade your own. Good Luck!Long16:51by Jtacher511112
$DTLR / Long$DLTR has a lot going for it... BULLISH Is in a Stage 2 uptrend with price above a rising 30W MA. Relative Strength is above its zero line. Price moved up aggressively before consolidating for 21 trading days (just over 4 weeks). The consolidation has seen 2 complete contractions. The first is 11% the second 7%. The current T is super tight with a 2% range. Very little supply is coming to market with multiple green and red dot volume days (vol 40-60% below average). Price action shows 2 very tight zones (including the current T). There are also multiple tight candlesticks and inside bars within the base. The last bar is an inside bar making it actionable on the daily timeframe. ...but the fact price remains in the lower half of the base is a worry. BEARISH The last above average volume day printed a bearish bar (Dec 17th) although that day was quad witching. Price hasn't printed a high low and the pivot buy point is sitting in the lower third of the prior T's range (low cheat). Longby TradingDirty0

DollarTree ($DLTR) TIme to Make a DecisionIt looks like we are going to get a 4th test of the $120 resistance area this week going back to 2018. If this accepts over $120, look for a powerful move up towards $155. If it rejects, look for support at $106 and $97.by CharlestonTrader0
