Verizon Returns With $1 Billion SaleThe telecom giant sold the bonds in one tranche maturing in 30 years, according to a person with knowledge of the matter. It yields 1.55 percentage points above Treasuries after initial price discussions in the 1.7 percentage points range, said the person, who asked not to be identified as the details are private. This is the fourth $1 billion green bond transaction from the phone company since it first tapped the market in 2019, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Verizon plans to allocate an amount equal of the net proceeds to fund renewable energy facilities or purchase of renewable energy, the person said. Global sales of green bonds -- the largest category of sustainable debt by dollar volume -- reached a record $514 billion last year, from about $234 billion in 2020, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Climate Bonds Initiative, a London-based nonprofit, estimates issuance could reach a high of as much as $1 trillion by the end of this year and up to $5 trillion by 2025.

OPPORTUNITY FOR VERIZON TO GO UP - Strong buying zoneHello, If you look at my previous post you can witness how I can spot the area to keep an eye on. If you can spot the area/zone precisely of any stock, index the same way the trading become really simple and strongly effective. This time I would like to talk about Verizon Communications Inc area to watch for a long position between 48.5$ and 51$. This area will act as strong support and will hold the price. It can blow the zone on the downside but at least the zone will hold the price. A long position in this zone is comfortable and statically safe. Happy trading

VZ - What to look for & Current StatusPrice is in a strong downtrend. Momentum is pulling it down. However, the tail wick of this the Months candlestick has pulled back up to the support line. This could mean we have found a support in this price range. Look for the channel to break and possible sideways action for the big boys to accumulate shares. May rise slightly or fall slightly, but generally, sideways action; unless price pulls up. I see the 47 area as a good possible bounce area, but if fails then the 43 area is a good area of solid support.

Pull Back Fishing Earnings 10-20VZ pays almost a 5% dividend so I am wondering when someone will pick this up? 3 year low is 48.84 so perhaps a place for a stop is you wanted to be on the really safe side or under most recent low somewhere which is 50.86 which is the yearly low as of yesterday. VZ fell past immediate support and that support can become resistance. Price is outside the lower band and has stayed below it for longer than many dwell down there. 3 big red ones which looks very bearish but can flush panicky sellers out as well. Negative moving average crossovers. It looks like VZ paid dividends recently on 10-7-21. There are people who buy before dividends then sell after they collect it. I do not do this but I know people who do. I suppose it is a hazard that comes with paying a high dividend. This possibly contributed to the recent downtrend. Just guessing. Negative volume is high. Short interest less than 1%. The moving averages need a lot of work. No recommendation.
