Walmart Descending ChannelWalmart is sitting at an obvious support level from 04/12, while a descending trendline from the ATH-to-lower-highs and 9-day EMA are all catching up to the price. Wacky price action around the fed meeting may foil any plans I may have around shoring this at the top of the channel to the 4/12 low, or from the 4/12 low if it becomes obvious resistance once we get below it. Wall Street seems to enjoy chopping us up on Fed days, so I'll be cautious with this one.

WalmartPrice has been ranging in the $135 - 150 zone since Aug 20'. Price is currently in the bottom half of this range and a very strong demand zone that now coincides with the 99MA - which has also been a strong trend support seen on the chart around Dec. 18' and March 20' All of these facts suggest an upward movement in price in imminent. However, given the current sentiment of a looming blow off top in the SPY, paired with this recent short term downtrend (seen in red dashes) on the chart; Waiting on a confirmed short term trend break would be the best option moving forward. A good chunk of the move has already happened and it would make no sense to enter right now in no mans land.

The Walmart Private Fleet has 12,000 drivers, and those who have been on the job longer can earn even more. Walmart quotes data showing that the average truck driver salary is $56,491. “The investments in pay and training build on multiple recent driver bonuses and improved schedules that enable drivers to spend more time at home,” wrote Fernando Cortes, Walmart’s senior vice president of transportation, and Karisa Sprague, the company’s senior vice president of supply chain people, in a joint blog post on the company’s website.
