GOLD MARKET ANALYSIS AND COMMENTARY - [Nov 04 - Nov 08]This week, after rising to 2,790 USD/oz, OANDA:XAUUSD then continuously dropped sharply to 2,733 USD/oz and closed the week at 2,736 USD/oz. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the US's October non-farm payrolls (NFP) report showed that the country only created 12,000 jobs, significantly lower than the forecast of 100,000 jobs due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. recent storms. Although the US economy created fewer jobs than expected, the country's unemployment rate in October remained unchanged at 4.1%. Meanwhile, wage inflation increased. Specifically, average hourly earnings increased 0.4% last month, higher than the forecast of 0.3%. In particular, the US's basic Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Index for October - the FED's favorite inflation measure - remained at a high level of 2.7%, unchanged from the level of July and October. All of the above economic data show that the FED is in a difficult position when production activities decline sharply, the labor market weakens, but inflation remains continuously high. However, many forecasts are likely that the FED will still cut interest rates by another 0.25% next week, but will cautiously announce the direction of interest rate cuts in the next meetings. In addition to the FED meeting, next week there will also be the US Presidential election on November 5. According to forecasts of many experts, it is likely that Donald Trump will be re-elected as US President. If Mr. Trump becomes US President in the next term, he will impose strong tariffs on imported goods as promised during the election campaign. This will push inflation up, forcing the FED to delay interest rate cuts, and may even have to raise interest rates again. Thus, next week's gold price is at risk of being double-impacted by the FED meeting and the US presidential election. 📌Technically, in the H4 chart, gold price still shows a clear uptrend when the price trades above the EMA89 moving average. Next week, if gold prices still trade above the 2720 threshold, we can expect gold prices to continue to maintain an upward trend. In case the price will return to a downward adjustment cycle if the 2710 support zone is broken, correspondingly in the H1 chart, the gold price forms a head and shoulders model. If this model is correct, the gold price will find its way back around mark 2650. Notable technical levels are listed below. XAU/USD : Gold Set for a Move as U.S. Election Sparks VolatilityBy analyzing the #Gold chart in the 1-hour timeframe, we can observe several reactions to the demand levels we identified. Yesterday, we saw an initial bounce from the $2733 zone, with a 70-pip rise taking it close to $2740. Later, this morning, the price dipped below $2730 and reached the $2727 zone, where it was met with strong demand, resulting in a sharp increase of over 200 pips up to $2745. Currently, gold is trading around $2742, and I expect it to soon make another move toward the liquidity pools above $2745 and $2748. After that, keep an eye on the price reaction at $2752. THE KOG REPORT - Update End of week update from us here at KOG: An absolutely blinding week on Gold in Camelot this week with our Excalibur and Excalibur LiTE targets completing, on top of that our bias levels working well hitting our bias level targets. The election projection we gave worked well in terms of the levels, we got the move down we wanted, we got the bounces we wanted and hopefully you can also see how well these red boxes are working on the charts taking us level to level. To close, we have support below 2675 and resistance 2705 while the fight to close above the 2700 level continues. XAUUSD Long term selling can start as early as now. Target 2550.Almost 3 months ago (August 19, see chart below) we gave a bullish medium-term signal on Gold (XAUUSD) that almost hit our 2800 Target last week: We are high enough to take profits as the target was missed by just 10 points. On top of that, the price is very close to what we consider the absolute top potential of this pattern (Fibonacci level 1.0 at 2900), so from a R/R perspective the return isn't worth the risk. In addition the 1W RSI is deeply overbought (above 80.00), which is always a bearish sign, even on the medium-term. But this exact 1W RSI overbought (Double) Top, was seen on the August 03 2020 High, which was the Top of the previous Cycle. As you can see this cyclical pattern frequency holds since 2016 and based on the last Cycle alone, we can sell and initially target the 1W MA50 (blue trend-line) and the 0.786 Fibonacci retracement level at 2550. Lingrid | GOLD Weekly Technical AnalysisOANDA:XAUUSD market made a bearish move earlier in the week but rebounded on Thursday and Friday. Despite the current volatility, a sideways movement appears likely following these recent fluctuations. The price bounced off a support level after the FEDs decision to cut rates, but we also saw some bearish movement, closing Friday's session in the red. It closed below the psychological level of 2700, indicating a potential consolidation between the 2600 and 2700 levels after facing strong resistance. On the daily timeframe, the market may be forming an ABC pullback toward the 2600 support level, as it has not tested this level since breaking and closing above it in September and October. Looking at the 4H timeframe, we can clearly see a shift in market structure, by prices making lower lows and lower closes, along with a breakout from the upward channel. The market had been contained within this channel for the past three months, but it has now broken out, retested the channel, and is currently showing signs of a rebound. Given that the gold market often creates triangular patterns, we may see this formation develop in the first half of next week. I anticipate continued consolidation, as prices typically tend to move sideways or form a two-legged pullback following significant movements, much like we observed last month. THE KOG REPORT - UpdateEnd of day update from us here at KOG: This is more of an update to last week's analysis which worked well for us. The NFP report gave the level for the bounce which happened, we then updated our traders today with the range target levels and movement, which also worked well. We can now see price playing the order region with support 2728 and resistance stretched to the 2750 level which needs to spike and hold us down. Elections tomorrow, so please take it easy. GOLD DAILY CHART SHORT/MID TERM ROUTE MAPHey Everyone, Please see update on our daily chart idea that we have been tracking for a while with the updated retracement and swing range. Previously after completing 2725 target, we stated that we had a candle body close above 2725, opening 2760. Although ema5 is lagging on this chart but we still also got the ema5 cross and lock to further confirm this target. - This was hit last week completing this target!!! We now have a candle body close above 2760 for a continuation above with a gap open to 2797, but no ema5 lock, which would further confirm this. Failure to complete this gap will see price test the retracement range for bounces and a further lock below the retracement range will open the swing range. We will keep the above in mind when taking buys from dips. Our updated levels and weighted levels will allow us to track the movement down and then catch bounces up. Our long term bias is Bullish and therefore we will continue to use our smaller timeframes to buy dips using our levels and setups. WEEKLY CHART MID/LONG TERM ROUTE MAPHey Everyone, Please see update on our weekly chart idea that we have been tracking and trading over the last 4 weeks. Last week we stated that we had a candle body above 2729 leaving long range gap open to 2856 and Ema5 lock will further confirm this long range target. - We got a nice push up, which we took using our smaller timeframes but the gap remains open and we are yet to see the ema5 lock to further confirm this. We will also be keeping in mind the channel top for long range corrections, which is likely to provide support like we stated before, if tested at all. As stated before if the channel top continues to provide support then we will track the movement up, confirmed with ema5 cross and lock or candle body close. However, if we continue to see tests on the channel top and then get a break inside the channel, then we will track the movement down, inline with our plans to buy dips, using our smaller time-frames, keeping in mind the long range gap for the future.. HelenP. I Gold will reach trend line and then start to declineHi folks today I'm prepared for you Gold analytics. Some time ago price declined below a support level, thereby breaking it, and started to trades inside the support zone. Later prices declined from this area lower, but soon turned around and backed up to the 2650 level, making a gap and breaking this level. Next, the price made a retest and continued to move up to the resistance level, which coincided with the resistance zone. After Gold reached this level, the price some time traded between this level, and last time it broke the 2735 resistance level, made a second gap, and continued to move up. Some time later price reached the trend line and then started to decline inside the pennant. In this pattern, the price first fell to the 2735 level, and then broke it, after which made impulse down to the support level. A not long time ago price rebounded from this level and now the XAU rise. So, I think that XAUUSD will reach the trend line and then start to decline to the support level, thereby exiting from the pennant. For this case, I set my goal at 2650 level. Are we in major correction phase or more upside is coming?Dear Traders, As we focus only in Elliot Wave analysis, we found out that the gold price is in still its major 3rd wave. We will consider this 3rd wave is completed only when the (2) and (4) matured trend line will be broken. As you can see, the price has already showed a rejection from this trend line. (Daily Chart) Meanwhile, in minor scenario which is in 4 hours chart it is showing us an ongoing zigzag correction. As a wave analyst, I am considering this drop as wave "A" of zigzag which will have 5 moves in 4 hours chart. I will break down the 4 hours chart for you in a note of this post.

Gold can make small correction and then continue to move upHello traders, I want share with you my opinion about Gold. Looking at the chart, we can see how the price some days ago entered to wedge, where it at once rebounded from the resistance line and started to decline to the support line. When the price dropped to this line, it broke the 2650 level, after which later, Gold started to grow and in a short time backed up to the 2650 level. Soon, the price broke this level one more time and then made a retest, after which continued to move up. In a short time price rose to the resistance level, which coincided with the seller zone, and then started to trades between the 2740 level. Later, the price broke this level and rose to the resistance line of the wedge, and even exited from this pattern. But then it dropped to the seller zone, some time traded inside, and then made a downward impulse to the buyer zone, breaking the 2740 level. After this, Gold started to grow and now it continues to rise to this day. So, in my mind, Gold will little correct and then continue to move up to the 2740 resistance level.
