Launched in 2014, Monero is a privacy coin that goes the extra mile in peer-to-peer philosophy by obscuring senders and recipients alike through the use of advanced cryptography. ‘Decoy coins’ can also be included in transactions to make it impossible to determine the value of a transaction if the sender wishes to do so. Simply put, XMR is just a digital currency exchangeable for goods, services and other currencies, all for pretty low fees — but its USP is most certainly its super-opaque blockchain.
