I track the S&P 500 often and I have a keen eye with Ichimoku Cloud. The key part to focus on is the narrowing of the cloud in relationship to the price action which is squarely perched in a zoned of solid resistance predicated by the pivot points. This area is great and ripe for a short!
I use Ichimoku, Pivots, and Price Action to trade. With the way the S&P 500 is positioned (near pivot) I would suggest to tread lightly and expect modest selling until other conditions dictate otherwise. (If there are any questions as to how to read my chart please ask as not everyone trades Ichimoku)
