Current positions. EOS: Sold out in high 13's range. BCH: Own some from 1030 BTC: Own some from 7400 also BTC Short: from 6800 (hedging the above) Current status: Looking for signal to close that short. Don't think we're there yet but the market is building RSI bull divergence on the 1-hr and 4-hr timescale.
Currently long BTC, BCH, EOS, VEN BTC target could reach 8.4k where the hammer awaits in form of resistance at 50 & 100 day moving average.
Very simple chart. VEN is in a large pennant after extremely rapid uptrend. Considering taking a long position in this now. Will add if we break out up. Close if we break out down.
My favourite speculation coin is EOS. Its very volatile and really moves in big jumps. Because of that you have to be careful. Lots of people have gotten rekt on EOS. You have been warned. In April I went long EOS around the $11-12 range and managed to sell 20s. Some failed trades in between. I have just gone long again at $12, literally buying most of my...
4-hour RSI showing bullish divergence after oversold. Historically this setup has resulted in a short squeeze and significant rally in the subsequent days (or weeks)
Quite a few people have bull goggles at the moment, with people predicting Wave 3 about to start on crypto to the actual moon. Hey, it could happen, I'm a bull on crypto overall, but the trend right now is down ... I mean ... up! If you flip the chart. Take a look at the above. What do you see? Oh wow bull pennants, golden cross and a possible cup & handle....
After a crash I always look for the second or third touch of bull-divergence on RSI. Right now we have 2-touches on the one hour. two small touches on 4-hour. This is enough for a scalp long. Dont expect this bottom to last or hold but its enough to form a temporary bottom. 50% account long here. Stops a few hundred $ below.
BCH vs BTC mining profitability is about par right now. Check the difficulty ratio / miner reward here: fork.lol As BTC prices dip and difficulty increases, it becomes more profitable to mine BCH. If miners flip, transaction costs and speed may suffer for bitcoin causing BCH to outperform in the near term
Based on chart pattern and various cryptos bottoming. XLM looks a buy
Hey Mr. Market, what you thinking?
This is a scenario I've had in the back of my mind for a while now, sort of a 'naaaah that wont happen' but as the crash accelerates downwards and leveraged longs still very high / sentiment still bullish in retail traders, it is becoming more likely. Check the earlier fractal from 2017 highlighted on the chart. Its an ABC pattern with a particularly aggressive...
I always say 'trade with the trend, not against it'. There are some circumstances where you want to trade against the trend such as market extremes, when you see heavy divergence on the RSI etc... However mostly ... trading with the trend is a winning strategy. Right now BTC is in a downtrend on the 4-hour scale. A downtrend is characterised by three things: ...
In the chart ETH: Arise Phoenix , i showed a potentiual bullish setup for ETH. I managed to go long literally on the bottom wick ($644) however something didn't feel right. The breakout lacked luster. As a result, at $744 I took profit. Also I noticed that ETHBTC was showing 4-hour bearish divergence , so at $700 I flipped reverse short and set a stop above...
In the article Bitcoin: Trade the trend and win I talked about how to identify a trend and why you should trade with, not against the trend for maximum profit. Also in that article i showed at what point I would consider the previous uptrend to be turning down: when 8800 support was taken out. Anyway, that level has now been taken out. The 50 MA is also...
As the title goes. bear div observed on 4-hour RSI for ETH What usually follows is prices down, or sideways until bear div is played out. Currently flat the market (Sold ETH)
Still flat this market. Having bought $11, added $15, sold $20. Some trades in between (mostly losing) I cashed out averaging high teens. Now Im looking at EOS again for a potential bounce trade. Caution. This is one scary horse
