Watching the aussie with the RBA set to announce the latest interest rate decision in a few hours. Hike could see AUD rally, but a pause might see it fall. What is everyone else thinking?
Last month, AUD/JPY almost put in a 1% 1hr upward candle off the back of the rate hike announced by the RBA. This month it's also a mixed bag, with the market being split on a pause or hike. Either way, I don't believe anything is priced in with such a mix of views in the market so I expect some volatility again around this event.
BTC remains to be stuck at the 30-31k resistance zone, where it has been stuck now for almost 2 weeks. The Bollinger Bands are also tightening, so it appears everyone is waiting for a news event strong enough to kick the price in either direction. The BTC ETF hype gave some temporary momentum, but without more concrete evidence that one will get approved, it...
Clean breakout of the downtrend, but currently at horizontal resistance. This will be the first step to overcome before climbing back to triple digits. Rejection here could send it back down to previous diagonal trend.
A few options here for BTC, still currently trying to break out of the major resistance level around 30-32k. With a week of consolidating, there might be enough momentum to break through and start the climb towards 32k-34k. Rejection could see price fall back into the lower consolidation support level that has been holding for the past week and a half. Time will...
Will be watching to see if this break continues to run during the next 12 hours
AUDGBP currently back within a 12hr OB, with RSI coming out of oversold territory. Will be watching for a reversal around this area. AUS CPI due out in an hour, so this might impact direction in the short term.
DXY is currently at the mid level of large range, also coinciding with the 2020 highs. Watching to see which direction it picks. J.Powell came out overnight saying more tightening is required with potential rate hikes over the coming few months, so this will be one to watch for the USD.
