It operates through the Asset-Based and Asset-Light business segments. The Asset-Based segment includes national, inter-regional, and regional transportation of general commodities through standard, expedited, and guaranteed less-than-truckload services. The Asset-Light segment consists of results of operations of the firm's service offerings in truckload, ground expedite, intermodal, household goods moving, managed transportation, warehousing and distribution, and international freight transportation for air, ocean, and ground. The company was founded in 1923 and is headquartered in Fort Smith, AR.
