Gold is still an inflationary hedge asset, why?My answer is definitely a Yes! But why many say no. It is because they are looking at Gold from a very microscopic view; into its day-to-day to week-to-week movement. But if we analyse Gold from a macro perspective, we will able to appreciate Gold better, that it is still an inflationary hedge asset.
And from today’s case study, we will also learn why it is time to get into Gold again at around this price.

The easiest way to spot divergences and how to trade them
Welcome to the coffee shop everybody. This is your host and baristo Eric, and in today's video I am giving you a video Lesson based off of my preferences on how you should look for and use RSI Divergences.
THe Oscillator used in this video is The Heiken Ashi Algo Oscillator
Get it free here and always BOOOOOOOOOOST IT!!
There are three problems that people have whether they are experts or when they are novices in spotting Divergence between the RSI and price.
First problem is they don't know where to look because the RS I can have hundreds of high values and hundreds of low values but you need to know which ones are the relevant ones to look at.
The second problem is a common question where people ask "which way will the price go?"
The answer to that is basically the slope of the RSI is the new slope of your price so, if the RSI is angled up your price will angle up. If the RSI is angled down your price will angle down.
Now hold on a minute don't run off and start acting like you know how to trade divergences yet because there's still question number 3.
When will it go in that direction?
Just because you see a Divergence doesn't mean it's going to immediately happen so you need to know what to look for to let you know that it is actually going to go in that direction and when will that Trend begin. So in today's video I do a nice lengthy coverage on how to spot those answers and you can use the oscillator in the video by going to this link.
US 10Y yield convergence of resistance levels around 4.19/20We have a convergence of levels around the 4.19/4.20 zone of the chart, it is a long term double Fibonacci retracement and represents significant lows seen in 1998 and 2001.
Will be quite interested to see if the market pauses here in order to consolidate sharp gains that have been pretty relentless since August.

Little Direction with Trends in the Market; Patience is KeyIf you don't want to watch the video, here is the trends going into 10/19/2022;
Last Macro Trend Signal Spots
30m - 3709 Downtrend (10/18/2022) Higher Low
1Hr - 3681 Uptrend (10/17/2022) Higher High
2Hr - 3700 Uptrend (10/17/2022) Higher High
3Hr - 3682 Uptrend (10/13/2022) Lower High
4Hr - 3680 Uptrend (10/13/2022) Lower High
6Hr - 3759 Uptrend (10/17/2022) Higher High
12Hr - 3606 Downtrend (10/10/2022) Lower Low
Daily - 4041 Downtrend (8/26/2022) Lower Low
Weekly - 4366 Downtrend (2/14/2022) Higher Low
As I said in the video, things are a bit mixed up at this point, with medium timeframe trends accompanied by the 6hr trend in an uptrend, and the 4hr, 12hr, and Daily all in that downtrend.
I expect today to be a negative overall for the day, perhaps bringing us down below 3700 several times. However, before we get there, we have to see if this 1hr Uptrending line can maintain us as a support level, which thus far it has managed to accomplish. The 30m and 2hr were pretty close to each other, and we ended up crashing through both just recently going into this morning, which reversed another near 1.5% gain overnight at the peak.
While I find it frustrating to have to sit out, I'd prefer to let the market show me a design in all of these major upswings and downswings, then to jump in on the wrong side of a major movement and have to take a quick negative loss. Basically I feel we are currently in almost a 50/50 in where we go from here, but any movement up I have little faith in, since the bullish uptrends just haven't formed enough to begin erasing such a bearish market, even for a bear market rally.
Outside of Trends we've got;
Earnings - Tesla is AMC today. That will be a major driving force in the market today. Reports I have is that revenue is at an all time high, but more because of price hikes than sales, and that the company may be having issues meeting the projecting sales growth they wanted.
There are a few other major companies I went over in the video, and I'll report on the big ones in the comments as we go.
Economic Data - Nothing major today that I see really driving the market anywhere. It'll be movements more based around earnings and technicals than any economic data.
My current sentiment;
Shorter Term ; Neutral
Short Term ; Bearish
Medium Term ; Bullish
Long Term ; Bearish
What a bag of mixed feelings that is, right?
Anyways, remember your risk management plan, and safe trading!
Gold - not exciting yet, but needs to go back on to your radarWe are in consolidation mode around the 1615 zone, this is the 55-month ma, a long term Fibo and the mid-point of a long-term up channel.
The market has recently failed at the 55-day ma, so it has not really done enough to suggest that it is ready to head higher either.
So not a market to get excited about yet, but one that really should go back on your radar given the key band of support it is sitting on.

How to Setup Daily Charts using Price Action Trading!Hey Traders here is a quick video that explains what I believe is one of the best ways to setup your charts for trading success. My chart trading style does not use indicators. I use a naked charts with support and resistance levels. I use end of day trading daily charts with trend following, and chart patterns, and of course Fibonacci retracement levels. Learning how to setup your charts to see the long term picture of the market can really benefit us in our trading.
Enjoy!

How to create auto trading bots for zero costHello Everyone,
Following are the things we discussed
🎲 Minimal Components of Auto Trading System:
Source where signals are generated
Exchange/Broker where orders are placed
Integration component which bridges both
🎲 In this example
Source - is our tradingview system and a sample script which generate alerts. Do not use this script for trading as it is only created for demonstration.
Exchange - We are going to use BingX exchange for this example as we only have this implementation in our integration system.
Integration System - www.pipedream.com is used for integration. This is cloud based integration product which is very flexible. Platform also allows users to contribute towards the product. Hence, it is very easy for us to develop integration to any broker or exchange which has API support.
🎲 Limitations
BingX APIs are fairly new and hence there are not much features. There is no option to place stop order.
It has option to place only limit/market orders
Stop loss is not possible via API
🎲 Steps:
🎯BingX
- Create account and enable perpetual futures trading
- Setup google authenticator and add valid email and phone.
- Create API - it will ask for Google authenticator code and email and phone OTPs.
- Store api key and secret key in safe place.
🎯Tradingview
- Create a script which can send stop, target, ticker information as signal.
- Study the existing idea about customising alerts for better understanding on how to achieve this.
🎯Pipedream
- Create account and setup BingX as source (needs API Key and Secret Key derived from BingX)
- Create Webhook trigger and capture webhook URL.
- Provide this URL in alerts to generate alert messages which are sent to webhook by default.
- Once alert is sent, load the alert in pipedream source and built rest of the workflow including calculate leveraged position and bracket order trades.
- Once tested, deploy the workflow so that workflow will keep listening to incoming alerts to generate trades.
Please note: the discrepancy in leverage calculation caused due to two things:
Lower timeframe used for generating faster alerts. Since the volatility is small, gaps can be huge.
The workflow did not run at once. Hence the delay caused rest of the issues resulting in miscalculations.
These problems however will not come when orders are placed via alerts and executed automatically.

Inflation & Interest Rate Series / Dollar and Gold I have started this inflation and interest rate series, in our last video, we discussed "Inverted Yield". Today will be discussing the relationship between:
. Inflation
. Interest rate
. Dollar and
. Gold
Today's Content:
• Why with higher interest rates, it strengthens the USD
• Is USD the strongest currency? If not, then who?
• Strategy to counter inflation
• Interest rate higher, but a lower USD?
Dollar Index:
. Measure the value of the dollar against a basket of six foreign currencies.
. These are: the Euro, Swiss franc, Japanese yen, Canadian dollar, British pound, and Swedish krona.
. With the increase of money supply over the decades, it causes currencies dilution. When currencies weaken, inflation follows.

1.0 = US$100
10 points = US$1,000

🟩TRADING HACKS: You're doing ENOUGH 🟩 This video is about the importance of thinking in RR and %. The main point is when you think you haven't earned enough is $ amount - and so you want to trade more and more, which leads to poor trade quality - remind yourself that trading is highly scalable, and so it's ok to imagine you have a 20x more capital at the moment. So x20 your profit in the trade and ask yourself how I feel now, is this enough for the day? Remember, if you're consistent, you'll be able to scale the account relatively easy.
The Spyder and the Fly - SPY analysisI have a few things to do here so just a quick update on spy. I do think a surprise rally higher than most expect is possible here, the 18ma on daily is the target for both bulls and bears in my opinion - bears want to see it hold, bulls want to see it surpassed. Triple witching is tomorrow so expect the unexpected and for me that's a substantial and surprising rally. Lower than 392 would be problematic but at the same time it could be a whipsaw to entice bears to short. As long as the structural trendline holds, I'm staying long with a light position. Good luck!
Where are commodities heading to? Beyond 2022Where are the meat or commodity prices heading?
Meat prices have been rising at a rate of about 3% per annual over the last 40 years.
Meat is what I classified as an edible commodity, so is corn, wheat and rice. And as these commodities start picking up in prices, they are the one that will give the central banks a huge headache and to consider to hike its interest rates than the other commodities in the CPI basket.
Why is this so?
In short, people can still live with some inconvenience without cars or petrol, but not without food. Therefore, there is an urgency for the policy makers to first take care of the basic needs of the people.

A little hack here to project the coming CPI data and also to know how aggressive the Fed will be with interest rate hike - you may consider to track the development of these edible commodity prices, if it is still trending up, we should be expecting a higher CPI and interest rates.
Example on Live Cattle Futures:
0.025cts = US$10
0.10cts = US$40
145.00 = 1450 x US$40 = US$58,000
From 144 to 145 = US$400

Why I'm Only Shorting Rallies in E-mini S&P 500 Futures ES1!Environment is everything. If you are a short term trader or swing trader I believe it's always important to have a bias of direction. The bears recently took the bulls punch with a decent rally off the lows and the bears fought back with vengeance. This is not my opinion, this is what my strategy tells me. In this video I go over why I'm so bearish the E-mini S&P 500 futures ES1! by using an Auto Anchored VWAP, Anchored VWAP's, 10 day simple moving average, Bollinger Bands and the RSI.
Past performance is not indicative of future results. Derivatives trading is not suitable for all investors.

Ethereum (ETH) • The Fork rally & ongoing carry futures tradeIn this video I discuss the ongoing strong ETH rally and some of the components that is make it a very strong one.
ETH is hitting here some resistance in the books and there is aggressive short selling in the forward futures market (not the perpetual swaps)
The video goes through that is going with Futures and why it is in backwardation.
Everyone is very keen for the the 16th September and get those free coins from the fork... only to dump them after.
Expect huge volatility around those dates.
